Reminds me of the men's semi final loss to the Griz in Bozeman when we were the regular season champs under Mick. Playing not to lose!

I don't know how, but the Cats win it in OT. I really feel like it was less what our team did and more that the lady griz just choked in the 4th quarter. Sometimes protecting a lead gets you out of what got you the lead. Great defense by the Bobcats who only hit two threes all game.
Cats really did play lockdown defense in the 4th quarter and OT, but you're right...UM sorta choked too. They were more focused on milking the clock in the 4th quarter, rather than just running their offense the way they had during the first 3 quarters, which forced them into taking some bad shots with the shot clock winding down.

Bobcats play at UM today at 2. I predict a 74-62 win for MSU.
Somehow not terribly far off on this prediction. Extra time helped.

Can’t believe UM only scored 3 points in fourth quarter, but also amazed MSU only had 37 points in first 30 minutes. Scored 29 in last 15 minutes though thanks to lots of FTs.

MSU - 15 team National Champions (most recent 2021); 57 individual National Champions (most recent 2023).

Listened on the radio. Last few minutes of the game was Jason Alvene complaining about the officials. His complaining was a little over the top. Were the officials really that bad?

Great comeback by the bobcat women!

I would assume Darian White will be the freshman of the year, but she's making the case to be first team all-conference. She kept us alive in the second half just driving to the hoop and drawing fouls until Freije got going and she shut them down from the three point line in the second half and overtime.

Freije had her best game as a Cat! What was it, twenty something points and 14 or 15 rebounds? POW favorite.

Credit to the Cats for not giving up...appeared to be over when the Griz were up by 12 late in the third....gutsy win.

Darian White is a joy to watch. Imagine when her 3 point shooting comes around!

Definitely a player-of-the-year performance today. 27 points. Career high I believe. I look for her to really get rolling in the second half of the conference.

NAU and Idaho in OT. Idaho with a big comeback to tie it. Game is in Moscow. Correction-4th quarter just started. I have the sound down. Idaho with a 3 point lead. We need them to lose one.

I guess I'm gonna have to follow it online because the power keeps going out like every 2 minutes where I live in GF. It always comes back on right away, but about the time my cable box finishes rebooting, it goes off again. It's been like that for several hours now.
Reception is always bad right on the edge of the planet.

Ha!

For those reading from out of area. Wind gusts in some areas here in north and north central part of state have been over 50 mph. Local and regional power disruptions, one apparently severe wind/dust auto accident in GF area, some road blockages, and several of the high school games canceled for the evening.

Now returning you to your favorite regularly scheduled sports program that I wished I could have seen. But thanks for the updates.

Precocious freshman and mvp candidate if in nothing else leadership in Freije.

The griz 4th quarter looked like our last 5 minutes of regulation against Idaho. They had so many close shots that rolled around the rim but fell off, then as the game got closer I think they had two air-banks that killed the shot clock. It was weird. In the mean time, we were clawing back in thanks to White getting to the free throw line, and then Freije getting going. But our comeback was delayed due to turnovers. It was really ugly both ways. Painful to watch really-until the OT where both teams played a lot better.

But in fairness the Cats played as poorly as they've played all year for the first 30 min. Great job Lady Cats to pull out the win. Thanks in huge part to Fallyn and Darrian.

NAU beats Idaho by 1. Hit a three to go ahead with 7 second left. The Bobcats are now in sole possession of 1st place!

I'd like to see the ladies drive to the basket more and be more confident in their ability to score =D^

I think we were 2-23 from 3 point range, it doesn't have to pretty, it's a victory =D^
