Great story - quite a guy. I always thought MSU fired him prematurely. Just my opinion.

Why did MSU fire Sonny Lubick? I am curious about the behind-the-scenes story if anyone would will to share.

His brother-in-law was offensive coordinator and was rumored to have severe drinking problem. Sonny would not fire him.duelalumnicat wrote: ↑Mon Jan 13, 2020 4:01 pmWhy did MSU fire Sonny Lubick? I am curious about the behind-the-scenes story if anyone would will to share.

Not the Lubick I remember but that might be because of my status as a walk on and scout team player. He was pretty aloof from what I remember. I had a great relationship with Cliff though! He valued the contributions of everyone in that linebacker room, even me
