Might have been said, but Kidd to LT? Just based off of having prototypical size.
Probably. Depends on what some of the players coming up look like though. If he isn’t the LT, then whoever is, is probably very good. There are some young prospects.
I know the coaches are really high on Jacob Kettels who grayshirted this fall. We'll get to see him in the spring. Overall, the 2019 OL recruits are well regarded right now. It will be a good group in the next few years.

speaking of young players the coaches are high on (like Kettles, mentioned above). Who are the picks for younger players that will burst onto the scene this next year, similar to Coy Steel and Callaghan O'Reilly did this last season... Who would have guessed that O'Reilly would lead the team in tackles going into this last season... haha. crazy.

One that I will be keeping an eye on- Seer Dienes, I still think this guy is going to be an impact player on the DL sooner than later. I remember the coaches were really high on this guy out of high school.

So many redshirt freshman and/or sophomore's though, that could make that big jump next year. I really like all the young CB's... curious how Joe Olson looks at RB (assuming he is back to 100% health wise)… Byron Rollins seems like he has a bright future... Tua Areta is a mountain, curious to see if he can crack the 2 deep... a handful of young receivers, which could help fill the Kassis/Jonsen void... That true freshman punter will probably be the guy, all American, replacing padmos…

You touched on it a bit but i'm really interested how the LB corps shape over the next few years. Obviously Andersen is what he is but when you look at the rest we are super deep there. I really think they will be the strength of the Cats defense.

(2020 season class)

Callahan O'Reilly (JR) might be our next Alex Singleton. We are going to hear his name announced a ton for the next few years.

Nolan Askelson (R-SO) won the starting job as a red shirt freshman out of fall camp but as Hill got healthy lost snaps. Still remembering he got the blocked punt against Incarnate Word in the playoff last year.

Daniel Hardy (SR) really came on late when asked to play in Troy's spot and was so good we need to find a spot for him next year when TA is back.

Chad Kanow (JR) battled injuries but played a lot of special teams and has the physical tools to be great. Also seems to like to talk trash... like a ton.

Micheal Jobman (SR) was dinged up most of the year but has played well when he saw the field.

Blake Flovin (SR) played in most of the games but I believe is a depth guy next year.

Then there are the unknowns, at least to me. Taden Gilman was special in highschool, Jaharie Martin, listed at RB but could play LB, Danny Uliulakepa might be good enough to play right away, Jory Choate has made plays on special teams. McCade O'Rielly, Aiden Parks coming in.

Not much has been said about Jalen’s potential return. If he comes back at or near 100% at corner, one of the corners could move. Our safety concern could be minimized.

Seeing is believing in both Cole’s and Anderson’s cases. We’ll see in just a few months if they’re going to factor into the mix or not.

There’s always a chance Andersen moves back there, but I think the coaches want him up closer to the LOS, but he could do that by having them move him around.

Gonna be an interesting spring.

Would like to see Grebe RS, get some more experience and strength, especially if they decide to play him at the Buck. If he is at Will, I’d still like to see him RS and have maybe J Martin somewhere on the depth chart. Also, you never know about where Troy will be, as good as Hardy played, you can have Andersen at S and Hardy at Sam.

I'd really like to get Hardy on the field more...but he's not well suited for Will. Could play Buck, but that's where Williams is.

I know that Andersen probably could play safety, because what can't he play, but for his sake I hope he gets to play LB. Maybe they play him at Will? Not really his best position, but he can play it.

I'd like Grebe to redshirt, but I think he comes in as one of the top 5 LB's, personally.

Really interested to see how Martin and Oster develop over the year. I'm not sure Martin can/should play anywhere other than Mike on defense, and I was a big fan of Oster coming out of HS. Good coverage LB. Maybe he's a sleeper type at S...same with Aidan Parks.

This moving Troy around talk I find annoying. He is our best player and using him as a stop gap where we are weak instead of putting him where he can excel is dumb. Troy was great at LB early and as the season wore on he was starting to play at an all-American level. He had 8TFL's, 5.5 Sacks, 2 INT's, and over 30 tackles in the last 4 games he played. The UC Davis game he was an absolute wrecker at the LOS and in coverage, all at >50% health. He had a QB hit, 2 TFL and a pass break-up that if he could lift his other arm was a INT. None of this is taking into account his contributions on the other side of the ball. He needs to play where he does the most damage and that is where he played last year. It was where he was recruited to play and its where his skills are best utilized. Find someone else to fill the other spots.

Steel could be the next Kassis (emphasis on the "could be").

I expect Snell to get some more time at TE. His blocking on the edge this year was very good, and he has underrated ball skills. If we continue to run the ball as much as we do, he will get a lot of playing time. If we pass more (we probably will), then Lonergan will get a lot of time. I think Lonergan has all the tools to be All-Big Sky in a year or two - very glad we were able to red-shirt him this year.

Talking to some of the young Olinemen, they say that Tua and Schmidt are animals and tough to block. I would expect both of them to be in the Dline rotation.
On the Oline, I think that Kettles (if fully recovered from ACL) will push for time, as will Anthony Sessions (also recovering from surgery), as will Sampson. However, barring injury, time will be hard to come by with the starting 5 that we've got.

Thomas Marcus was a University of Arizona transfer that announced he was coming to MSU in August. Then nothing happened with it so I'm assuming something got denied. No coaches follow him on twitter anymore so I don't think Marcus will be in Bozeman any time soon.

Seemed like they like Tyson Regimbal(sp?). Does he crack the rotation next year?

Ended up redshirting him this year. Yes they do like him and wanted to get him that ex-JUCO-player year of development.
