Re: BOOM! Brody Grebe
Boom indeed. Just seems like one of those in-state kids who has a chance to be a legend. I watched a video on Twitter of him playing basketball this winter, and with what he did in track, I just don't see why he's not considered to be up there athletically with Troy Andersen. He's obviously got the smarts, which tells me he's got the discipline to focus in and continuously improve. I'm pumped about this.

Totally agree. I also love the toughness and work ethic that is ingrained in being a Montana Ranch kid. And with him enrolling in January and being around for winter workout and spring ball, I think he has a legitimate shot to play a lot of minutes next year.kennethnoisewater wrote: ↑Wed Dec 18, 2019 1:29 pmBoom indeed. Just a tick slower in the sprints:kennethnoisewater wrote: ↑Wed Dec 18, 2019 1:29 pmBoom indeed. Just seems like one of those in-state kids who has a chance to be a legend. I compared his track stats against Troy just for fun (these were their personal bests for the senior year) Troy didn't compete in the triple jump where Brody jumped 45.
100 meters.....Grebe 11.15/Andersen 10.88
200 meters......Grebe 22.82/Andersen 22.11
Long Jump......Grebe 22’/Andersen 20’11”
Shot Put......Grebe 51’7”/Andersen 47’5”
300 meter hurdles.....Grebe 43.5/Andersen 40.4

For sure, I think his long jump and shot put give him a different kind of athleticism, but not any less impressive.VimSince03 wrote: ↑Wed Dec 18, 2019 1:34 pmJust a tick slower in the sprints:kennethnoisewater wrote: ↑Wed Dec 18, 2019 1:29 pmBoom indeed. A tick slower, but a tick more explosive--both exceptional athletes!kennethnoisewater wrote: ↑Wed Dec 18, 2019 1:42 pmFor sure, I think his long jump and shot put give him a different kind of athleticism, but not any less impressive.VimSince03 wrote: ↑Wed Dec 18, 2019 1:34 pmJust a tick slower in the sprints:kennethnoisewater wrote: ↑Wed Dec 18, 2019 1:29 pmBoom indeed. OLB/MLB/SS/DE/ST Gunner/KO Returner/QB/Punter.....just a few of the positions I saw him playing on his Choate H.S. tape.

Agreed. How can we not compare him to TA with him at so many positions. He seems like someone drew up a player that fits perfect into Coach Choate's MSU plans.HelenaCat95 wrote: ↑Wed Dec 18, 2019 1:56 pmOLB/MLB/SS/DE/ST Gunner/KO Returner/QB/Punter.....just a few of the positions I saw him playing on his Choate H.S. tape.

wow
I noticed:
- 6 INTs
-10 PBUs
-6 TFLs
-3 or 4 sacks
I like how he is used as a Field Safety on long passing downs, and an edge rusher on medium distance downs/RPOs, coaches see his situational value
looks like an OLB to me, long and athletic, and looks for contact like he enjoys it
I wish he would lower his pad level tho
oh, and love that he is/was a Rodeo Cowboy

A big part of the offer given to Brody was not only a full-ride but the chance to transfer here next month to start school for the spring semester and take part in spring ball. Good stuff!

Re: BOOM! Brody Grebe
I’ve watched him play both sports and signing to play football was a good move. He is a very good all-around player and it seems like MSU Choate likes those kind of kids. Welcome Brody, glad you picked football and glad you picked the CATS!!

If you play multiple sports and get any scholarship money I believe that money must be from the football allocation of 63.superbobcat wrote: ↑Wed Dec 18, 2019 6:17 pmI’ve watched him play both sports and signing to play football was a good move. Watched that highlight. It was from the state Class C Basketball Championship last year. Also noticed that one of the players was 8th grader who hit a long 3 pointer: Bryce Grebe. . Brother? Maybe another future Bobcat?

And he was playing with the injured leg if you noticed. As I mentioned in other thread, he had two different shoes on to accommodate all the wrapping on the foot/leg, played well through whole tournament.....just saw a couple times where he couldn’t quite elevate the way he wanted on a jump shot.

Re: BOOM! Brody Grebe
Not that it matters, but I’m surprised Grebe doesn’t have at least a two-star rating at 247 considering all the offers he got.
