NDSU v. Illinois State

Post by Rich K » Sat Dec 14, 2019 11:05 am

Might as well start a thread.
First time this year I'm watching the NDSU on live tv.
Hope they beat the crap out of each other.

ISU is a good team. If the bizon dominate them a second time this year it's going to be tough sledding for the cats. I think we are a similar matchup.

NDSU is so hard to beat because of the depth of their big bodies. As Choate likes to say drag them into deep water. They truly do that. It's extremely hard to stay with them the entire game.

Perfect timing. "This is the delta formation, they can do many things out of it including this sweep......"
Tackled for a 6 yard loss.
Thumbs up!

I think we have a more dynamic offense. But yes I agree that we are similar. I think we get more of a push off of our Dline.

Yep, ISU is going to have to open it up. They will not beat the bizon toe to toe.

Redbirds can claim a small victory holding them to a field goal on that one.

ISU is just one player. Tough to beat Bizon when they know who is going to take the ball.

ISU defense is good against the run. NDSU is going to nail them again with the pass.

I'm curious, considering the likelihood that the Cats will have to travel to Fargo next week, where do opposing team fans usually sit in the stadium? If they have a particular spot at all

ISU isn't going to win this. They don't have the diversity on O that is needed. D is playing great. Gives me hope that our D can contain ND O.
