2019 Bobcat Record Watch

Man, 2014 was a bananas year for us on the ground. It might two playoff games for us to surpass that ground touchdown total.

2014 was a 12 game season plus a playoff game, so that 2014 total is for 13 games and we are at 12 right now.

What's even more remarkable about 2014 is we didn't have the run-first emphasis and the RBBC like we do under Choate.

So to compare further, through 13 games in 2014 the Cats rushed the ball 614 times for 5.2 YPC
This year through 12 games we've rushed the ball 549 times for 5.9 YPC.

Believe it or not we ran the ball more in 2014. But we ran 74 plays a game in 2014, vs 71 this year.

Who knew? You can actually run the ball well, really well when you have a QB who doesn't run the ball!
Answer: Coach Choate when he was bringing in big uglies and we were all mad cause he wasn't good at recruiting QBs. At least 6 different people behind center, more than that getting carries and we have the best year ever.

Being an OLD!! kicker/punter I know it's not the flashiest position out there. Jered is probably one of my all time favorite players!! I will sneak away from our tailgate before the games and come back early at half to watch him warm up it is amazing what he can do, my wife thinks I'm nuts.

yeah, Padmos is definitely a game changer. He has continually been snubbed by the big sky as well when it comes to all-conference teams. There is not a punter in the league that I would take over him these last couple years, no question.

Jared has been nothing but rock solid for the Cats his entire career. In addition, as outstanding as he is on the field, he's even more so off the field. He's exactly the type of young man you are proud to have representing the program.
