Tommy Mellot was 15-21 for over 200 yards and 3 TD. Also added 94 yards rushing. Being one of the best athletes on the team, he has been asked to play safety in special situations despite not playing defense his whole high school career. In the last two games, he has also taken in two interceptions while playing defense!

Seems like, statistically, he’ll easily win the Gatorade POY. Averaging over 100 rushing per game with 16 TDs. 25 TD passes and just two interceptions. 230 yards passing per game. Good student. Involved in the community. Hard worker.

Camas (Bryce Leighton and Rush Reiner) beat Puyallup (Uluiakepa) and advances to the Washington 4A semifinals as the highest remaining seed.

In Oregon Central Catholic (Miles Jackson) advanced to the semifinals.

Miles Jackson returned a blocked punt 80 yards for CC’s first TD, then caught a 7-yard TD pass to go up 14-0 en route to a 35-7 Oregon 6A semifinal win over Barlow last night.

Camas plays it’s Washington 4A semi today.

Arlington was knocked out Today. Magnolia lost to Highland Park last week.
