CCSU kicker isn't any good. Had a chip shot and missed at start of game.

Dumb pass try. Should have taken the sack.
Can't make up my mind as to which is better - 55-21 or 48-14.

Re: Albany vs central Connecticut ESPN3
CC doesn't have a good kicker so they will be going for it on 4th down in the redzone. Lends to a bend but don't break strategy on defense (if we play CC).

CCSU kicking game is horrendous! They will absolutely go for it on fourth down until they get it inside the 20 maybe even the 15 their kicker is so bad.

CCSU rotating three different running backs. They are different, but all moving the ball forward.

I get all that and maybe embarrassing was the wrong word, I was just shocked that the Monmouth field, lack of seating on one side, is literally a step down from several Montana High School stadiums.ilovethecats wrote: ↑Sat Nov 30, 2019 11:50 amI understand that take but have never really thought it was fair. These are universities in either very high populous areas or very near very populous areas. Holy cross is in a city of like 190,000. These small schools in some of these areas are so low on the athletic totem pole it’s not even fair.
We’re very lucky in this state for sure. But it’s like people from other areas thinking it’s “embarrassing” that we don’t have a pro sports team! It is what it is. We have great support here because we’re the only show in town so to speak. I’m very appreciative of what we have but don’t in any way think the support these other schools get is embarrassing. It’s just different.
Great time to be a BOBCAT!

#5 RB cost them that drive. What a hot head. Good job throwing that ball a the defender when they stuffed the run.

CCSU oline has two seniors and three juniors and still aren’t vey impressive imo. With any type of crowd noise and the pressure of the Bobcat defense I expect a handful of false start assuming CCSU wins.

Albany’s offense doesn’t look good. No first downs and one turnover at 12 minutes in the second. Their defense is very active and is keeping them in the game. Looks like Albany defense is figuring out the CCSU offense some now.

What's the impression of both teams? Should we roll them or is this going to be a dog fight?

EWU, Northern Colorado, and Portland State (in Hillsboro) look to be very comparable to Albany's setup.catatac wrote: ↑Sat Nov 30, 2019 12:44 pmI get all that and maybe embarrassing was the wrong word, I was just shocked that the Monmouth field, lack of seating on one side, is literally a step down from several Montana High School stadiums.ilovethecats wrote: ↑Sat Nov 30, 2019 11:50 amI understand that take but have never really thought it was fair. Albany Offense seems to be out of synch. High snap cost them on the hand off.

A lot of people I've met in Montana (especially those that don't get out of the state much) are positively shocked that FCS football means absolutely nothing to the vast majority of the country.
Monmouth's stadium is a good example of that. New England is just another area of the country where no one cares or even knows about the existence of FCS football. And it shows in their stadiums, coverage, etc.
