Team- Most Yards Rushing, Season
1. 3,177 2014
2. 3,045 1973
3. 3,014* 2018
4. 2,903 1976 (3,655 including playoffs)
5. 2,859 2019
6. 2,759* 2011
7. 2,744 2017
8. 2,698 1974
9. 2,681 1972
10. 2,617 1975
Thanks for keeping these up to date, love seeing these every year.

Question for you though, why the asterisk on the 2018 and 2011 numbers in just this list? I had thought maybe it was to denote those included playoffs (per your recent response about that only happening recently in stats and the inclusion of the adjusted 1976 playoff numbers) but then realized that the #1 spot held by the 2014 team was also a playoff team. Just curious if there was something special you were denoting here.

Not my doing. I just copy and pasted the list from the records lists on the Athletic site...……………………… And as I have said over and over, every year since I have been doing this...……. Its a frickin joke how terrible the athletic department is at tracking these stats. Zero consistently- why the astericks in this list for example, and not other lists (and what does it mean)?... inaccurate numbers.... missing players/numbers..... zero proof reading of their lists.... its a complete joke.

Again, I am a broken record. but I feel like I do a better job at tracking the Teams stats then the athletic department does.... And I am just some random fan, who spends 10 minutes a week on this stuff during the football season. frustrating.

Ahh, that makes sense and completely explains it. Probably is to denote playoffs included and they missed the 2014. I'm with you, it has long been a huge glaring weakness. Thanks again for what you do here and taking the time.

So, looks like the Cats have their target now. If they rush for 319 yards they set the season rushing record. Seems like a tall order against the Griz D but we'll see. Think they can do it?

So, uh...don't look know, but I think Ifanse and Jones almost did it just between the two of them.

As always, great stuff mslacatfan! Is there any way you can add a category for most career starts by a Bobcat? Saturday's game was Mitch Brott's 47th career start as a Bobcat. I read an article last week that said that ties him for third all-time with Jody Owens and Kane Ione. First place is 49 games, held by John Weidenaar. Next week will be #48, putting him in second. If we can go on a playoff run, he could tie or even beat 49 games.

Love seeing Choate moving up that wins list.

He’s realistically within reach of breaking into the top 3 in 2 more seasons, and top 2 in 3 more seasons.

Hope he’s around to do that and the progression with this program continues.

Man, 2014 was a bananas year for us on the ground. It might two playoff games for us to surpass that ground touchdown total.

2014 was a 12 game season plus a playoff game, so that 2014 total is for 13 games and we are at 12 right now.

What's even more remarkable about 2014 is we didn't have the run-first emphasis and the RBBC like we do under Choate.

Edit: and Prukop was putting up some crazy numbers through the air, cutting into number of running plays we ran.

Wow, I had forgotten Luke Daly had that kind of leg. It's too bad those off the field issues derailed his career.
