Spartan Invitational-Tennessee Tech

Post by BelgradeBobcat » Sat Nov 16, 2019 11:06 pm

Game tips off at 10AM MST. Probably be an empty gym again. TT was beaten decisively by App State and UNCG. Hopefully, we can get some of the young guys some major minutes. Frey played all 40 minutes against UNCG so he's gonna need a blow. Let's hope we don't have a let down after the buzzer beater.

This game feels like we should just get the W based off the past 2. Which is why it could be dangerous. Hopefully it is a cruise control kind of game and Harry plays 15 minutes.

I'm assuming we have no radio broadcast available?

Bobcats win. Sluggish offensively but another good defensive effort.

Helluva start for the men’s cagers! Third win in as many days. A long way from home. Battling fatigue. Playing at a neutral site (empty gym).

Against all better judgement, I’m kind of excited about this group!

This team is 4-1 3 wins against D1 teams and all of those were away from home. The loss was a “good loss” if you are into those types of things. I too am feeling excited

Great start...... let’s continue to support the program and allow the team to grow. Would be a mistake to let emotions get too high! There’s going to be some tough games over the next couple of months, but I like what Danny has done so far! It’s great to see a team that truly plays together!

Just going by the online stats the D must have been stifling, with maybe a dose of fatigue thrown in. VERY impressive tournament result. Being far away from home and three games in three days. Where the others struggled we were able to keep it together successfully.

Now, is Grand Canyon going to have another tough group this year?

I am loving what I've seen so far. They've posted videos of the post game locker room celebrations on FB and it looks like the guys are having fun. The team looks like they are going places. Way different than the past.

Grand Canyon has played a couple of good teams and lost in Illinois and San Diego St. They beat Ark Pine Bluff. However they lost to a D2 school to start the year.
