Please keep Joker and The Thief for Kickoff. Such a great beginning to get fired up!
Can you elaborate as to why Hells Bells is no longer played on 3rd down? It was the perfect song for our incredible Defenses of the past. 2019s Defense could be legendary!
I really like the idea of a griz fan cam during the Cat/griz game. Switching from CEJ to Rick Astley. That would be epically hysterical!

Ok, so my early to mid 2000's spent at MSU is coming out, but Vengaboys - We Like To Party was always a hit with our student section after a score when winning. Just a happy, upbeat feel good song that's super simple and catchy. Current students should still recognize it.
Anyone agree?
Eric Curry STILL makes me sad.

We Can't Be Beaten by Rose Tattoo when the Cats come out of the tunnel.
You Turn Me On by Ian Whitcomb.
I actually like Cotton Eyed Joe, but Rednexxx other Song Mary Lou which has a heavy beat would be our own personal touch.
Sweet Caroline and Hells Bells are good songs but WAY overdone to the point of embarrassment of showing no originality.
Bobcat Forever was pretty cool and extremely original and proprietary. Ain't no one else got that one!
Music will always be generational, but something with a ramped up beat is usually timeless.

Some of you are getting really, really old. You just don't know it yet. Hells Bells? Hate to break it to you, but that's what? Thirty years old for Christ's sake! Play what the college kids listen to instead of worrying about what a bunch of middle aged people want to hear! None of the stadiums I went to last year not at MSU played sweet caroline except the ones in the Carolinas...geeezzzz...get into the 21st Century is all I'd like to hear blasting all across MSU and bugging the transplants upset about the noise shed! And increase the charge on the cannon after scores so it doesn't sound like a popcorn fart. Or eliminate because Charge One is embarrassing. Just crank it up for whatever you play and the kids will be there. Or you can keep is down so it sounds like an Old Folks Home. (Besides, the old folks are hard of hearing anyway...)

100% yes! I started typing that one too but figured I would get roasted by the old school rockers, you are a braver man than me. Something about that song got the entire student section jumping in unison, hell we even played it after we scored at watch parties for away games.....got several noise complaints!grizzh8r wrote: ↑Tue Aug 27, 2019 11:46 pmI too would love a Rick Roll!94VegasCat wrote: ↑Tue Aug 27, 2019 11:12 pmPlease keep Joker and The Thief for Kickoff. I would also put in a vote for hells bells on 3rd down. It just fits. It ALWAYS cues the fans to get very loud. And Im all in for some Vengaboys!!!!

The Script..Hall of Fame
This would be a great song to play right before they run out on the field.

I know we like to complain about the student section here, but anything that would get the "older" crowd to actually stand up and tell for most of the game would be cool too. Nothing worse than being the only person in your vicinity standing.

That is unfortunate. How about Afternoon Delight by the Starland vocal band, because if you are going to force us to listen to the East Coast Neil Diamond baseball stadium crap you may as well go all in.BethanyCordell wrote: ↑Tue Aug 27, 2019 7:11 pmSweet Caroline will never go away, but Cotton Eyed Joe is not even on my music computer anymore.

I like Neil Diamond, but I'm with you on Springsteen. I'd rather have a football shoved up my ass sideways than listen to Springsteen.

This has all the makings of being a great thread. That song is awesome. No that song sucks. That guy is awesome. No that guy sucks. We should play that song! We should NEVER play that song.
I like the strategy though. Despite there being a zero percent chance that anyone would agree on any song, you get enough suggestions and maybe even one song will resonate!
I'll echo what others have said though. This is about the students as Bethany and others already know. The music is already geared towards these kids as it should be. Find more songs to keep them involved and all is well.
Love the work Bethany and crew are doing!
