That was a great interview. I feel like Ty should be a regular contributor to the show.

Ty was dancing trying not to step on anybody's toes, but I agree I think he would be a great analyst.

Very good.

Definitely clears a lot up. Especially regarding the "mutual" breakup.

Haven't had a chance to listen to the entire thing yet, just some pieces. What was the gist of ty's take on the "mutual breakup?"

He still danced around it. He said he had been thinking about quitting for a while. That is fine by me, I think it is between him an Choate but it kind of sounded like he has hard feelings.

I don’t know what to think of Gregorak. He definitely made MSU’s defense better than it was, but some things, like 3rd downs, were mind-bogglingly bad.

This was probably my favorite Roundtable so far. I think his interview comments were sincere. I think he spoke from his heart about his time in Missoula and Bozeman. Im really happy for he and his family to be in a great situation. Best of luck Ty!

Basically, he had thought of quitting coaching for a couple years, and Choate made the decision for him.

Ty seems like he's doing really, really well. Excited to spend more time with his family, which is awesome.

"mutual is a funny way to put it"
"I had been thinking about it [getting out of football] for awhile"
"I wasn't part of his [Choate] plan going forward"

I believe he sounded happy with his time in coaching including the Cats and is happy with were he is now, he wants to stay in Montana.

Unlikely as that would require some self awareness.

While registering my vehicles the assessor stated "I have had both Cat and Griz students and alums work for me and the Griz end up working under the direction of the Cats."

"If I never coach again, if I never coach in this state again...that was a heck of a way to go out in the Brawl of the Wild this year." The way everyone chuckles and Tootell cracking up in the background is great.

I don't think it sounded like hard feelings.

I hope he helps coach at the high school level, lots of knowledge. I can only guess it would take time before he thinks about coaching again.

Precisely.

People look way too much into things. Ty is loving life and enjoying his fam. Probably get a little itch here in the next few weeks but that’s just my guess. Dude is happy.

Great interview of a great dude! It didn't even cross my mind while ilstening to this that there were any sour grapes or hard feelings about the departure. Anyone that read somthing into that needs to take off the gold glasses.
