They are currently adding the freshman to the roster starting with the lower numbers. I had Burgess as a potential cut candidate heading into spring for what its worth (though I did not expect Shane Perry as the RB to win the roster bubble battle). Its really too bad about Jalen. He was instrumental in holding Idaho State to one of their lowest offensive outputs through the air on the season because of how well he could matchup with those small, quick receivers like Michael Dean.

I was too. Part of me was pulling for him because of how it would help the team, and, another part of me was pulling for him because it would help him. Coach Choate and MSU gave him a 2nd opportunity to make things work and he didn't take advantage of it.

So at this point I don't know whether or not this (CM being officially off the team) 'clears' things up or 'muddies' things up regarding the QB situation. Did the chance of TA being the starting QB just quadruple? Was there ever a chance of TA being the starting QB this year? Does this increase the chance of a dropdown QB being added to the roster or is it still.....if we get the right fit we'll take a QB, if not we'll stay pat? I wonder if since Beltran is the most 'dual threat' of the three (Rovig, Bauman, Beltran), did his stock just go up?

Time will tell.....stay tuned and GO CATS!

From everything I saw and heard after spring, Rovig is "the guy". I don't think Murray not making it changed that. I do think that the urgency of finding a drop down for competition and depth did go up a couple notches.

Really bummed for the kid. Work for a year to try to redeem yourself and still fall a bit short. That's rough. Hope he finds his way.

Its a pretty fascinating story really- year 4 of the Jeff Choate era...… and we are still completely clueless as to what the QB situation will be... haha.

Luckily the team is built in a way that they can literally just run the ball on 99% of the plays next year... and that will probably work.

It is really a nice bonus to have such a stout running game. That said, I would put a lot of money down that our passing game, numbers, stats at the end of 2019 will be significantly better than what we've seen the past few years. Mark that down.

TA would've never been moved to LB if Choate didn't think CM would be back as our QB. Seems as if less than half of BN understands this. Oh well. Go Cats!!!
This just isn’t true. Almost exactly the complete opposite.
Yep, more evidence that 84 is a loudmouth, arrogant, self important blowhard that can't be trusted.

I think I like Grizaddict better than this guy.

half of the "in the know" posters..... yup, he is back on the team!

The other half of the "in the know" posters... nope, he is off the team!

I'm gonna wait until there is some type of an official announcement.
I guess now you know which half are really “in the know.”

Ha I’ll take it! I think it was pretty evident to those following closely Murray was gone. The tweet he sent out about “things happen for reasons” made many wonder (as that could be taken many different ways). It was what he retweeted many times after that, anything that had to do with change, or a new adventure, or a new beginning, or God has plans for you. He retweeted lots of that. That’s when I knew he was gone. Then it was confirmed to me a few days ago.

I’m assuming he had lots of help again in trying to get back and getting his grades right? That’s the more baffling part to me, that he could goof this up twice. Bum deal, heck of an athlete.

None of them. They were just the half that guessed it right this time.

Unless it comes directly from teams, coaches, Colter, or the players themselves, it means nothing.

College isn't for everyone, I have no clue what his issue was, so I'm not going to judge him. I'm just going to wish him the best, failing out of college isn't the end of the world.

There are people who have access to coaches and players and already knew this was the deal. It can mean nothing to you but it’s just the way it is.

Has anyone ever wondered how CM was able to get through High School early then end up not doing well in the class room in college? For the record I'm a fan of CM and was pulling for the kid.

High school classes are easier. High school football is easier. Doing high school classes and high school football is way easier than doing college classes and college football.
