Bobcats by the Numbers 2019
Here's this year's By the Numbers countdown. Last year's Bobcat countdown was the best presentation of a countdown to kickoff in the country at any level of college football, in my opinion. #99 Marcus Ferriter from Butte Central highlights the countdown's premier.

Looks like this year will also include a daily bonus tweet highlighting an all-time Bobcat great.

Choate’s quote is spot on.
Speaking of 98 days. When will Pluto replay the game?
MSU - 15 team National Champions (most recent 2021); 57 individual National Champions (most recent 2023).

Wow! The #98 has not been kind to the players that have worn it for the past decade...Elu Leota in 2017, gone after one year. Austin Barrette in 2016, gone after one year. Riley Griffiths in 2015, broke his hand, went home to heal and ultimately decided to transfer to CWU after one year in the program. Luke Halliburton in 2012-2013, I don't remember what his injury was, but I know he retired due to injury. Kris Cooper in 2011, gone after one year. Christian Keli'i had it from 2008-2011 and was probably the best player to have worn that number in that time frame but rumors of failed drug tests and injuries sunk him in the latter part of his career. Is #98 cursed?? It could be...Best of luck to Ethan Bullock, the next #98!

Wasn’t Sparaco also wearing 98 by the end of the year? I know he also wore 10 at times too.blueandgoldblitz wrote: ↑Sun May 26, 2019 2:24 pmWow! Yeah, he committed suicide. Sad story. He died in October 1932, not November.

Don't know if this has been covered, but the stadium in the background of some of the photos is the main grandstand of Clark Park in Butte. It was built by copper king W.A. Clark for the people of Butte. Same guy who built the Columbia Gardens in Butte. Both burned to the ground.Rich K wrote: ↑Fri May 24, 2019 10:25 pmHere's this year's By the Numbers countdown. Interesting factoid...after Clark sold his Butte mining company he opened a copper mine in Jerome, AZ which turned out to be richer than anything he had in Butte. He then decided Los Angeles would make a much better port city than San Francisco. To make it happen he built a railroad from St. Louis to Los Angeles to establish a shipping route from the USA heartland. Turned out he needed a facility somewhere between the two cities to tend the railroad so he basically created Las Vegas and started building there. Las Vegas is in Clark County, Nevada. Never could figure out why they never made a movie about the guy. The above is just the tip of the iceberg.
