Tyler Hall at Portsmouth Invitational
Better play better if he wants to get invited to the NBA Pre-Draft Camp.

Re: Tyler Hall at Portsmouth Invitational
Not pretty! But I'll try and find the bright side, at least he was able to get 8 shots up. 7 of them were 3's, but hopefully they were decent shots. Hope he was just jittery and settles down and shoots better in future games. We all know he can shoot better than 1 for 7. If he makes 3 of them he's got 11 and they play him longer and has a much better game. That's doable, hopefully he gets it done!

Tom, I'm not familiar with this league or tournament he's playing in. Is he playing with a bunch of other guys who are considered borderline NBA guys?Domako wrote: ↑Mon Apr 22, 2019 9:54 amOther 2 games this weekend:

Yes, I believe it is only seniors who are borderline NBA guys. Your goal is to play good enough to get
invited to the Chicago NBA predraft camp. Chicago is the NBA's version of the NFL combine.

It's an honour that Tyler was included in the tourney, but it looks like his shooting and confidence that was lacking in the BSC tourney has carried over. Doesn't seem to bode well for him going forward.kennethnoisewater wrote: ↑Mon Apr 22, 2019 11:04 amTom, I'm not familiar with this league or tournament he's playing in. Re: Tyler Hall at Portsmouth Invitational
As I remember he never did well when there was an issue made that a scout was in the building. It looks to me like he's too tight. Expectations can really work on these kid's minds. I mean.....the most ballyhooed player for the last 30 years at MSU becomes Bobcat Nation's hope for relevancy, not to mention team mates, parents, coaches and fans. I guess if you want to play in the show, part of the "right stuff" is dealing with these pressures.catsrback76 wrote: ↑Mon Apr 22, 2019 5:00 pmIt's an honour that Tyler was included in the tourney, but it looks like his shooting and confidence that was lacking in the BSC tourney has carried over. The MVP of the tournament was a 5'9" guard from Campbell that lead the nation in scoring at 31 ppg and dropped 45 on the Georgetown Hoyas. The purpose is to get to Chicago and then some individual team workouts that lead to a summer league invitation.

Re: Tyler Hall at Portsmouth Invitational
I'm thinking that Tyler Hall, should he wish to, might be picked up by a European league team where he can play. But that is no easy go either as we've seen.

Every player who was invited to the 2018 Portsmouth Invitational is playing at some level of professional basketball.
