Is it possible for a fan (and in all probabilty a former player) to be allowed the opportunity to voice their displeasure with the coaches and administrators at MSU without all the MSU employees and other suckups jump down their throats for stating the obvious? I mean, come on, the overall MSU athletic program has been on a downward trajectory for over twenty years no matter what all the Ash and Fields apologists state. Hell, some of the posters on here are hoping we have an Idaho kid start at quarterback over a Montana kid that's how far our program has fallen for Christs sake! ... why our teams suck.

Administrators win championships, not coaches. Ask Calipari.
Sometimes there is a level of stupidity that defies rational thought on this board...and once again Cat Grad shows us the low bar!

Based on your logic, ONLY Montana kids play, all others sit irregardless of who is best for the position and who performs best. I love Montana kids, but more than that I love watching a team play together as one, and it has nothing to do with WHERE THEY ARE FROM! Hello, catch a clue CG, based on your logic Travis Lulay would never play QB for MSU because he was from Oregon, DeNarius McGhee would not see the field because he was from Texas, and Ryan Johnson and Isaiah Ifanse would have to pack water for the Montana boys because they are from Colorado and Washington. Nico Harrison wouldn't have played either because... well maybe you get it!!

Go back and sit down and let the discussion rationally go forward because you're only adding stupid to the conversation! :coffee:

Just want to say that from a relative history perspective, MSU athletics, with the exception of men's basketball, is definitely on the upswing.
Football is on the upswing and has become very competitive and fun to watch again, not to mention taking over the state from the Griz.
Women's basketball won two championships, made it to the NCAA and has a ton of outstanding recruits coming in.

Yes, men's basketball sucks and I told a friend the other day that it might be the case for the rest of my natural life.
But I have hope. It is tough to turn around a basketball program. But it can be done.

Case in point: Five years ago Auburn hired Bruce Pearl. MSU hired Brian Fish. Both programs were in the bottom of the cellar.
Auburn won the SEC regular title last year and this year won the SEC tournament and have advanced to the Sweet 16.
MSU only made some very slight improvement. If we can bring in a coach with great enthusiasm and energy, someone similar
to a "young" Bruce Pearl, it can happen. Who that coach might be, I have no idea!!

Yes, MSU is on the way up. Brian Fish definitely left the program better than he inherited. It is unfortunate his coaching ability on the court was lacking. Here is another issue, I hope the new coach will not have to inherit the assistant coaches and has the option to retain or hire his own. Fish inherited Haslam and from what I watched he does nothing especially during the games. He has been there through two coaches and needs to go. Fennelly seemed to be the only one active and into the game. I am not to sure about Dominguez. Head Coaches need to have the choice to hire their own coaches.

The assistants are all university employees and will be retained only if the new head coach wants the on his staff.

The behavior of assistants is a function of the head coach. Haslam provides lots of in game coaching.

While registering my vehicles the assessor stated "I have had both Cat and Griz students and alums work for me and the Griz end up working under the direction of the Cats."

He's our European recruiting connection. The new coach will have to decide whether he wants to keep that or not depending on Haslam wanting to stay.

Man, if everyone's friend, former player, or anyone who knows anything about sports and holds a cool job title got called we'd have a 400 person committee and we'd never have a coach.
I get everything about Nico and his connection/current job but holy shi* calm the fuc* down. And there's a definite difference between voicing an opinion and displeasure vs. calling someone a retarded, sorry ass dipshi* based on a non phone call. Grow the fuc* up.

Don't let this distract you from the fact that the griz blew a 22-0 lead.

Okay, I'll play. What is our football team's record the last five years? What is our basketball team(s) records the last twenty years? How many NCAA tournament games has a conference team won in the last 20 years (in basketball?).

Let a poster, Phat Cat, express his opinion without all you Bozeangeles Chickenhawks apologizing for the continual and downward spiral of the MSU Athletic Department. And screw bozo high school while you're at it...freaken transplants...
Would a transplant be someone that spent a bunch of time in Georgia? Or, Would that make them a transplant in Georgia? I'm confused at what point you become worthless? Would this make Nico worthless? So many questions.

Than that is a problem. As the head coach you should have a say in who is sitting next to them on the bench. Unfortunately, I do not agree with you on the behavior of an assistant coach being the head coaches fault. He has been there for two coaching regimes that got fired and their needs to be fresh faces and new energy on the bench.

Get a life and learn to let facts and data lend credence to your position or STFU. MSU is in a ****** conference and the entire athletic program, top to bottom, sucks. Look at the facts before you run you mouth on a keyboard, okay?
I don't see any facts or data in your response.
I was going to say the same thing. What facts? Financially we're in a much better place than we were 20 years ago. There's one FACT for ya Cat Grad, and I was on the Bobcat Club board for that long so I've seen all the financials.

Nope. Alumni and past player. He never got a call to say "I can't be on the committee, but I'll help." Leon is a little chickin ass bitch. He's afraid of anyone who knows anything more then him. It's just the truth. Don't give two gobs of goat ****** who doesn't believes me.
Wow. Take it easy. Nobody said they don’t believe you, I’m quite certain you’re right that Leon didn’t contact Nico. He probably didn’t contact Hatler, Quadre, or a bunch of other former players either. I don’t exactly understand how that makes him a “bitch” or anything else. You’ve had a personal beef with him since he came to MSU, and like I said, I’ve never met the guy so I don’t like him or hate him. I’m still in the wait-and-see mode in how I feel about him, because he still hasn’t had anything like this come up under his tenure yet. Did his dog take a sh*t on your lawn or something?
Are you on dope? Nico is VP of Nike basketball operations. Are you on Fuc-ing drugs? Do you have a f'in clue? Is it drugs son or are you a ?
Phat Cat is a cancer on this board. What does it take for him to be banned? And be careful folks, he will turn in his season tickets if he does not get his way.

That’s beautiful. You post an apology for being a dick, and then you be a dick. Your priceless. I can tell you though that I have been a strong supporter of the program for quite some time and have never threatened to give away my tickets or minimize the importance of the program. You have on multiple occasions acted like you are bigger than the program. I don’t know you, but if you are anything like your online persona, I probably would not like you.

I forgot how great a fan you are... had to go back and found a coupe of your wonderful posts:

“Well, you're fu-king wrong. Seat prices in 104 just went up 100 bucks per seat. $592 per seat. Six games @ $98.66 per game. Lol...... for the Bobcats? I'll be talking with my fellas who sit with me. I think I'm done with Bobcats Club and 100 football tickets. Oh, and you can't write off Bobcat Club anymore.”

Here is another of your gems:

“We pay $3000 a year for six seats. Not willing to pay more. Just won't happen. This isn't Southern Cal Football.”

You really are a first class fan! Entitled, pompous and not afraid to show it. What I see is a Grade A jerk.
