Your ticket, your money, your time, your choice. To be made by you.
Just don't step on my toes as you come back in.
Their talent, their hard work, their time. Their choice to play hard for their University.

Seems to me a lot of people who post on the site expect the team to play with heart and fight on every down(of course never getting out of control and making a mistake) On top of being full time students, working part time jobs and giving their heart and soul to try and make us Cats in the stands happy week in and week out. Doesn't seem like much to ask for us to do our small part and have enough respect to park our ass in our seat and support these kids from start to finish. Of course our discussion here isn't going to change the attitude of some and I can't force anyone to stay put but I pay for my seat too and I can have the opinion that if you're not even willing to sit through the whole game than you're a hypocrite if you expect the players to play hard every down.

All due respect though to the large amount of Cat fans who have to pick up heart medication at the pharmacy. You are free to go whenever you feel chest pains.

As soon as they said I could leave, but I needed to see my cardiologist ASAP, I was at the game yelling my head off. I left early to make it to my pharmacy to get the pills they prescribed for me just in case. Before they closed for the day.
So, before you wonderful fans start saying stupid ******, maybe think before you open your mouth. I've never left a game early. I was the only person in section 108 about 10 yrs ago. I've been to every Cat game since I moved back 18 years ago. Don't you dare try to tell me you're a better fan because I left early to get what I needed to make myself feel better.
I'm sorry everyone isn't worthy of calling themselves Cat fans in your eyes.
This place is turning into egriz. What a joke.

Yes and I will add that we should be making noise on every down on defense for the same reasons given above.

I thought we were better making noise on every defensive down this game, but there's always room for improvement.

Can't make up my mind as to which is better - 55-21 or 48-14, but 34-11 will do.

I've got to say that I thought the fans did a pretty good job of getting back into the stadium after halftime of the EWU game...far and away the best so far this season. Some games the end zone has been practically empty for most of the 3rd quarter, and never really did fill in very well during the whole 2nd half. For this last game, it was already pretty full by the 10:00 mark of the 2nd half, and was very full by midway through the 3rd quarter. Maybe still not as good as some of us would hope for, but much improved over previous games this season IMHO. And I might add that the northeast side was almost completely full again, within the first five minutes of the 2nd half. Again, maybe not perfect, but much better. I think maybe all the discussion of this topic on BN may have had an effect.

you guys got this all wrong. the people that leave early are actually the "good" fans. know why they are leaving early? to be first in line for the next cat game....

you people sitting around in the stadium should be ashamed.

That's right, EVERYBODY gets to make their own choice. Lovethecats75 specifically said that it was HIS choice to be back in his seat at the start of the third quarter and so is mine(for many of the same good reasons that you mentioned), but there is noting I can do about whatever your or someone else's choice might be because I wasn't the one that gave you free will (choice) to begin with.

Halftimes and leaving early. Way back in my day we devised ways to sneak enough alcohol into the game we didn' need or want to leave until the game was over.

Aha! You were also probably one of those standing in line at the concession stand to buy a coke on ice while the outside temp was hovering between 0 and 10.

I thought we only had Pepsi at the concession stands.

Now maybe. I don't ever remember drinking rum and Pepsi.

How often do you have these blackouts? Is your family worried?

I think the last one was when they still sold Coke at the concession stand. I think they quit worrying somewhere along the line.

No, last game I remember sneaking in mass quantities, we carried in 12 gallons of gin and tonic. That was in 75 or 76.

The one thing that pissed me off more than anything yesterday was the Giant stream of "fans" leaving the stadium yesterday with over 6 minutes left to play in the 4th quarter.

Beside the point that the Cats nearly came back and tied it or possibly won (missed field goal), leaving that early is just pathetic! Odds are the large amount of people leaving early will not read this (cuz they probably dont frequent this board), but if you are one of those people, dont ever call yourself a fan, cuz you are not, yer just a ****** bandwagon fan.

okay, vent session over.....

Remind me how many people were left at the end of the Southern Utah game last week, Caligula.

Retiring my moniker. It's time to ride off into the sunset. It's been a fun ride. Go Cats.

I didn't get to see the game, but I don't doubt you one bit. This is something relatively new. One poster, after the Griz-Cat game in 2010, noted the rush to the parking lot. Good call. This year is nauseating for Griz fans, and we do adapt. They play like that, are coached like that, head to the bar. Its an old Bobcat tradition, fourth quarter at the Molly Brown, or whereever. I'm just saying it will take more than a couple of good years to change perceptions. The Cats are having a good year and are a damn good team. It will probably take a little longer, having a few come from behind wins, which your exodus cats will miss, or have to run back in for the finale. Winning will take some getting used to, just like losing takes some getting used to in Missoula.
Caligula must be another poster you feel threatened by, sorry. Personal attacks are really bush league, but, hey, this IS Bobcat Nation. After your banjo picker role in "Deliverance," did you get any more roles?

I brought 6 people with me to Homecoming, none of which had ties to MSU, we all stayed the entire game. The year before it was ISU vs MSU and I brought 4, they made it to halftime, they were too cold that game. Next year I intend on bringing 8 to what ever game we decide on. Its an 800 mile round trip.

In 1976, the student section snuck in a pony keg using a wheelchair and blankets. The 50 yard line stands were very popular, all game!
