Just a thought, but how about taking the politics/religion out of the Bobcat Hangout and making it a separate board.
For the most part political discussions involve a small percentage of BN members and often boil down to a couple members in an endless pissing match, but the many threads take up a good portion of the threads on the Hangout. Just food for thought- I think every other board I visit has split off politics/ religion for the reasons I've mentioned.

I agree that the endless pissing matches get old. We will have to think about that.

Please take politics/religion out of the Hangout and put them in their own slot in the Lounge. Call it 'Argue Endlessly with BAC' , whatever..............., just give the rest of us a break. There are many threads in the Hangout that are interesting and segregating politics/religion will allow us to avoid the regular pissing matches if we so choose. As I said earlier, every other board I visit tied to athletics has separated the issues.

BTW, nothing personal BAC, but damn does your wife ever get a word in...................

Should we just create one called BAC's corner? Then he can either argue with himself or anyone that chooses to enter that section?

Not dismissing the merits of the idea but ... wouldn't it just be easier to not click on the threads that you aren't interested in?

We have to worry about getting so many boards as to make the site really clunky (and not fitting on one screen). Not to mention that it might be really hard to make a judgment call as to what constitutes a "political and/or religion" thread. It's not cut and dried like the sports ones.

It was just a suggestion, it didn't seem like that big a deal to add a board that would take care of 80-90% (just my guess) of the discussion in the Hangout- the other 10-20% I find interesting, it just gets tiresome wading thru every thread. I have nothing against political/religious discussion, but for the most part I have neither the time nor the inclination to follow it all. I'll stick to the athletics stuff & bag the Hangout, no big deal. I know how to use the 'Mark Threads Read' function.

I am interested to know if others feel the same as I do though- I'll throw up a poll (if you don't like it delete it).
