He admitted to killing her.

The guy even looks like a psychopath. He sort of has that "Children of the Corn" look on his face, doesn't he?

On a serious note -- I do hope he's the right guy, and not just some psycho who falsely confessed. He probably did do it, but the claim that he drugged her when no drugs were found in her system does raise some doubt. Hopefully the authorities have some better information. (?)

Mentioning the $118,000 ransom is also odd, since the ransom note was made public. You'd think he'd give some info that no one else but the investigators knew.

I'll give you that the guy is just CREEPY, but I don't think he did it. His ex-wife says that he was living in Alabama with her when JonBenet was murdered and that he studied and obsessed over the deaths of Jonbenet and Polly Klaas. I don't think he's the right sicko.

buzzkill time!

Pics can be deceiving, but the guy looks incapable of sexually assaulting anyone but himself.

Everything I read about this case leaves me feeling less and less convinced that this is really the guy.

Aside from his ex-wife (who presumably has no motive to cover for him) saying he was in Alabama at the time of the killing, now we even have the prosecutor telling us not to "jump to conclusions."

The prosecutor's statement could mean anything, of course, but this whole thing is fishy. I hope we get some more info...

I would think that now that they can do a DNA comparison, it should provide some fairly conclusive evidence of complicity or a sham.

If this guy did not kill her I hope they find some reason to keep him behind bars. He is a very scary dude!

I think this guy is a sick duck but I don't think he is the one that did the job.

It does make me wonder if he did meet the person that did kill her. Just a thought if he has info that has not been made public and his DNA is not a match. :-k

As they were awaiting the extradition hearing yesterday, CNN was talking about some hair removal work he'd undergone in Thailand, part of his process for a sex change

I think he's sick and wrong, but really don't think he's the killer. I will be relieved if he is found to be, that family deserves to have an end.

They said all charges have been dropped... so isn't it illegal to interfere with a criminal investigation and lie to authorities about a murder? Glad that tax dollars are paying for this fiasco...

So we should take note ... when you are in a foreign country and want a free one-way flight home ... just "confess" to being the shooter on the grassy knoll or whatever happens to be your favorite historical crime of choice.

As long as you act sufficiently bizarre, it should work out okay for you.
