Cold Case Solved!

I've know about this case for a long time. The story seemed to pop up every few years as investigators would reopen things up and take a fresh look at the evidence and appeal to the public for any information.

Then out of the blue earlier this week-it's been solved-through DNA-like a lot of cold cases lately. The science is amazing. Too bad the guy was already dead, but glad the family finally has some closure.

We don't care for a vast majority of tv but early in the summer season we watched The Genetic Detective on ABC. CeCe Moore was the expert and it was incredible to watch her build the DNA profile.

The case I think about from time to time was the girl that was murdered in Laurel, maybe 20-25 years ago. I believe she was working at a movie rental store. I wonder if new technology could help in that one.

If there was DNA the guy is toast... We can only hope...

The killer actually confessed to her murder in 2019.

I hadn’t heard that. Closure is always good I’m sure. Sad deal.
