2 Basset is great and Barry seems like a great guy (and MSU grad). I've stopped in there a handful of times since they opened going to the Smith or Great Falls and every time he remembers me and chats me up for a bit. Really good vibe in there and solid beers.

No, I haven't! We don't get much Ninkasi here in Utah, so I only get it when I go back to Boise or visit Portland. I'll look for it next time.

I'm not a huge IPA guy but there are a few here that I like. Ninkasi is a bit overrated but if you like IPAs they do a great job.

Not much of an IPA guy, seems like all the breweries are trying to top one another on how much hops they can put in a beer. It eventually tastes like hop juice.
I also don't like fruit in my beer, Beer should only have four ingredients: Water, malt, hops and yeast.

Ugh, try living in Washington. It's like IPA after IPA.

Oregon is worse. It gets annoying.

We were in BJ''s for lunch yesterday and I immediately noticed they changed their Bourbon Barrel Stout recipe. I had to mention this to the server. The previous several years there had been a hint of bourbon, subtle but very nice. Now it is a bit overwhelming. For Fathers Day Patti had got me Great Basins 385, aged in bourbon barrels for 385 days. It was almost 16%, a bit too much bourbon. I like a good Stout, Patti not so much. Neither of us are bourbon/whiskey fans but the CORRECT marriage of the Stout and the Bourbon is excellent.

I thought you said you liked craft beer. Goose Island isn't really craft beer.

Goose Island maybe not on general, but Bourbon County definitely is craft. However, point taken.
