Has anybody been there? We were thinking of going there on vacation. If you have been, do you scuba? is it worth taking equipment, or are you better off renting? Any recommendations?

I stayed at a vrbo in playa Hermosa. Had fun, drank Imperial, surfed, drank, ziplined, drank, fished, ate fish, ate guacamole, drank, hiked, saw monkeys....the first bar I went to in Hermosa had a bobcat shirt hanging on the wall. There were 3 earthquakes while I was there. It freaked my wife out, I was too drunk to notice.

I have spent a week there and would never go back. I know a lot of people like it but compared to the Virgin Islands, Belieze(sp?), and some of the Mexican resorts it is dirty, bad food, poor accommodations, no one speaks English and of course you can never figure out how much you are paying. That will be 1,000,000 colones. Is that good or bad?
