What are some of your favorite restaurants IN Bozeman (not the surrounding areas) that are unique to Bozeman, or at least uncommon in Montana.
I can safely say as a poor college student I haven't tasted as much of Bozeman as I'd like to, but a few of my favorites are:
Burger Bobs
Bozeman Deli (new place next to Junga Juice)
Starkys
Dave's Sushi

I have always like Red’s. I know that the food isn’t unique but the atmosphere is very nice. I use to go there all the time with my friends, because you could get good food for cheap prices and more importantly it was a very friendly environment.
Pickle Barrel is definitely a good place, Rosa’s Pizza makes the best pizza, and now the Pita Shop (across from the Legion) is a good place for food after a night of drinking).

Still haven't tried the Pita Pit sober, I have to do that someday.

I heard that you should only eat there when you have been drinking, because it really isn’t that good. But I am sure that it still beats the hell out of scrambled eggs.

Rosa's Pizza is awful. I almost opened a pizza delivery and my target was to close down Rosa's.

I know you said only to discuss restaurants IN Bozeman, but I can't bear to see this discussion take place without Sir Scott's Oasis in Manhattan getting mentioned. I've eaten prime rib at the "best" places in New York, DC, and Chicago, as well as some good places in Seattle and SF, and Sir Scott's is still my favorite. I always go there at least once whenever I am in Montana (which I will be in about ten days, incidentally.

)

Spectators has great bar food.
Black Angus is a really nice sports bar. The food is good, but a little expensive for the quantity you get. They have a ton of TVs so you can watch whatever you want, and they usually have a decent drink special.
I always thought Pork Chop Johns was over rated.
p.s. Rosa's has a very good Mexican Pizza and they make great salads.

That restaurant is the very reason I said I wanted locations in Bozeman. Cuz I knew it would be brought up at least 30 times otherwise, but you just couldn't resist could you.

It is damn tasty, I will agree.
Bar 3 BBQ is very good, I agree.
By the way Quast, do you mean Reds on the Road, or Sante Fe Reds? Reds on the Road falls way short of Sante Fe Reds.
I also like Panda Buffet as well, not that the food is so good, but I just like the variety.

Is the Pickle Barrel still up and running. We Have a pickle Barrel here in Missoula, but back in the day it was a great meal for a decent amount of money.

I can't believe it took so long for anyone to mention the Pickle Barrel!
I have fond memories of walking across college from Langford, getting a large Cheese Steak or Dragonslayer, and walking to Joe's to get a 32oz Coke for 50 cents. Best meal ever!
Mackenzie River has been mentioned as well--and I have to concur. I am a huge fan. (Boy, I wish I could get a Branding Iron on Sourdough crust delivered to Hawaii

I'll take the Western for breakfast, but Brandi's (at the Cat's Paw) has a great chicken fry steak breakfast for a reasonable price.

I couldn't agree more. I have to say the Pickle Barrel is my favorite place anywhere. And stopping at Joe's was a must on my short walk home. Though I went for Mountain Dew, not Coke. Easy choice for me.
