for each league(and college football), who has the most kick-ass uniforms?? Who's are awful? here are my choices.

(best/worst)

NFL: Raiders/Bills or Vikings. Broncos are also bad; they set the trend of awful "new" unis when they changed.
MLB: Pirates/Giants. Giants and Padres road uniforms look "dirty". red sox and braves road unis kick ass.
NBA: Blazers/Mavs or Bobcats. both those uniforms look like they were design by 5th graders
NHL: Canadians or Blackhawks/Predators or Ducks. any of the original six have sweet get ups. Preds and Thrashers look like european teams. awful.
College Football: Penn State or Alabama/ Oregon or Boise State or Miami. PSU/Bama: clean classics. Oregon: embarassing. Honorable mention: (i'll be hated for saying this) University of Montana. The last few years have been sweet. love the shoulder stripes. see UCLA as well.

Bobcats, as of last year, have sweet uniforms too. couple things I'd change though to make them sublime:
A) Original "cats" logo on helmet with grey facemasks
B) No last names on jerseys
C) white pants, in addition to gold and blue knickers.(see UW uniforms)

Gotta agree with you on the Trailblazers. To me it looks like they went and yoked some crap out of the dumpster and then wiped their asses.

Gotta disagree with you on the Raiders. They were pioneers in terms of incorporating black into their jerseys decades before the 90's when it seemed like every team (baseball, football, basketball, etc) tried to incorporate black into their jerseys to make themselves look like "bad guys" or badass or something.

I've always been a fan of the simple jersey. I do like Penn State because it's simple. But there's something about the pant leg triple stripe I find classic and stylish. The NY Giants and Georgia Bulldogs are who I'm thinking of in that respect. I love the Giants' shade of blue. Kick ass all the way.

There's an old Russian proverb that says all that is simple is good, all that is good is simple.

Enough with these lame-ass wavy stripes and new fangled, high falutin' fonts. Keep it simple.

Edit: I'm probably a little biased on the Giants' use of blue because their uni's look like the Marine Corps delta uni's, which as we all know women love more than any other branch's uni's.

I've never noticed baseball jerseys too much, but without a question the D-bags old jerseys were horrific and made me recoil in horror.

Purple.

And black (gotta look like tough guys).

I think he was saying he liked the Blazer's uni's. I agree with you on the Giant's and Georgia's stripes.

As to the person who didn't like the Bronco's uni's - then you must really have hated MSU's uni's from 2000?-2008, right?

I happen to like the Vikings' Uni's - they look good.

And of course the Oregon uni's look like something from a Japanese cartoon. If you include Miami, then you must include Oklahoma St. They are very similar (style of numbers, etc). I happen to like BSU's uni's and the newer logo - they both look a helluva lot better than their old style!

Having sat through several seasons with cat_stache, you are correct in that he hated the Cat uniforms all those years.

I agree most of the Oregon uni's are heinous, but they have some combinations that look pretty good -- at least I think so.

The gun metal ensemble they put together last year and their whites come to mind.

Miami's are the greatest. No question or discussion is needed.

more uniform tid-bits that i like, in no particular order:


white cleats. black spikes(except in baseball) make you dopey and slow.
numbers on helmets
no team OR last name on jersey
matte-style pants. ala UW AND MSU. hate "sparkly" pants. make you look...well you know.


HATE:
"half-stripe" helmets and uniforms. see denver broncos AND kramer-era bobcats. awful.
the goofey uniforms that miami and the griz used to wear; the one app state currently sports. barf.
the stupid steel plates that oregon wears
MOST of the uniforms made by underarmor. they look like CFL/XFL designs.


remember the throwbacks we wore a few years back?? i would love to see those uniforms with the new color scheme AND the "cats" logo on the helmet. basically colts unis in navy and gold.

We should bring back the script logo if thats what you are talking about. I love that logo.

I'm not a fan of either school, just a rabid college football fan jonesin for the season to start... and don't gamble. Just was curious. Is it in Columbus or Miami?

The seahawks wear lime green unis once in awhile, bad enough to give kids seizures if they look directly at them.
