HelenaCat95's iPod
Here is round two of AlphaGriz's new weekly segment on BN.
Post songs you think would be on the selected weekly posters iPod. The poster (in this case HelenaCat95) gets to pick the following weeks poster.
I chose HelenaCat95 as our round two participant because he mentioned he is an early adopter of the new iPad so he has to have an iPod loaded down with music and maybe most of that music has made it's way over to his iPad already. Also, I didn't pick coachouert because we know it's all Pearl Jam all the time, and I didn't pick alphagriz, because he doesn't need another reason to talk about himself or his terrible taste in music.
So, let's start the guessing...what's on HelenaCat95's iPod?

You can't live in Helena and not have Joan Jett and the Blackhearts, "I Love Rock and Roll"! I'm pretty sure that song was written in Helena.

Re: HelenaCat95's iPod
I'll have you know there are currently 5394 songs on my iPod and only like 980 of them are Pearl Jam.
I picture HelenaCat95 as a bit of a butt rocker (no insinuation intended)...
Bon Jovi - Livin on a Prayer

Ratt - Round and Round

Foreigner - Jukebox Hero

Whitesnake - Here I go Again

Thin Lizzy - Whiskey in the Jar (Simply for your pre-game drinking rituals)

80's hair metal, all the way. Throw in some Charlie Daniels, Willie, Johnny on the country side, probably some 70's classic rock... Doobie Brothers, BTO, Eagles, Pink Floyd. Then more 80's... John Cougar (with or without Mellencamp), Billy Idol, Billy Squier, Loverboy, 38 Special.
and probably still has a collection of cassette tapes from the 70's and 80's including a recording of Casey Kasem's Top 40.

Retiring my moniker. It's time to ride off into the sunset. It's been a fun ride. Go Cats.

WOW! I was going to post almost the exact same thing to start this thread, but I thought I would let others weigh in first. Looks like HelenaCat95 has put off the same vibe to all of us.CapitalCityCat wrote:80's hair metal, all the way. Re: HelenaCat95's iPod
Let me first start off by saying that I am pretty damn good at this and rtb is just mad I outted him on some of the more "prissy music" he listens to.
HC is a pretty well rounded dude and a cat fan so I am gonna say there is definitely some:

I think coach nailed it too with the specific songs. Round and Round.... ahhhh, brings back memories!
HC95 probably also has a little Skid Row (18 and Life), Guns N Roses (Sweet Child of Mine), and for those mellow moments, Night Ranger (Sister Christian).

Re: HelenaCat95's iPod
I'm on the road today, so I wouldve responded sooner if I wasnt'......but Holy Cow are you guys pretty accurate (except for the Debbie Gibson...booo).
While you may not be exactly right, I am an 80's guy....hair metal, classic rock from the 80's, and my favorite stuff - 80's alternative - Depeche Mode, Front 242, The Clash.
Excellent work Bobcat Nation - and thank you to me for being so predictable.

Re: HelenaCat95's iPod
Fact: You may have known that Milli Vanilli did not sing that song, and that they lip synced it. What you may not have know is that kmax sang the original version.
Hey...he's never around anymore....let him come on the board and defend himself.

But who is Vanilli? rtb or BAC?
Let the people decide.

Re: HelenaCat95's iPod
One more rule to this thread.
The current weeks player that picks the next person to be on the iPod hotseat has to disclose the one thig on their iPod that nobody would have guessed they had on it.
I also look horrible in Dreadlocks so no I am not Vanilli.

Should have known you weren't Vanilli. The other guy in WHAM though...
Speaking of 80's tunes, I bet HelenaCat95 has a few of these gems...
The Outfield - Lose your Love

Cher - If I Could Turn Back Time

John Parr - St Elmo's Fire

Michael Bolton - How Can We Be Lovers, if We Can't be Friends (I celebrate the man's entire collection)

Meat Loaf - I would do anything for love

These are all staples on "Brit's Mix - Cat Edition" for game days. 19 actual songs, a Cat Growl in between every one of them.
