This is yet another one of my "what are your thoughts?" posts.
A lot of people rent out condos and houses as vacation rentals, including a lot in Bozeman. My wife and I have really gotten into the habit of going this route over hotels when we travel because it's so nice to have a real "home base" with lots of room and freedom to spread out, cook at home, etc., when we travel for extended periods of time. They also allow you to put a lot of people in one place if you want, ultimately saving quite a bit of money over getting several hotel rooms.
With that in mind, we were brainstorming the other day and were wondering if this kind of vacation rental, with a Bobcat twist, might be a good idea in Bozeman.
If somebody were to put up for rent a nice 3 BR/2 Bath condo with garage and laundry and all of the other comforts of home (cable, wifi, etc.) in Bozeman for, say, $150/night, and the owners were to donate 10% of all rental proceeds to the Bobcats (which would add up to a decent amount over the course of a year), would this be something that you would utilize and encourage your friends to utilize? It would be a great way to have a great place to stay while also directly contributing to MSU.
If this sounds popular enough among the Bobcat faithful, I wonder if this might be something that we could rally several owners of vacation rental properties to adopt.

Re: Bobcat Vacation rental condo
This is what I've felt we should have in Bozo, preferably between the fieldhouse and the stadium and track, but as a minor inconvenience, acquire the land immediately adjacent to the booster side of the stadium on the Hylite side of the stadium: http://www.georgiacenter.uga.edu/cch/fa ... romo=hotel" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; I can also envision one of our landscape engineering grads putting a world renown 18 hole golf course adjacent to the hotel.
