Brainwashed

Jodi Doering is a nurse from South Dakota. This is from her Twitter feed. :
I have a night off from the hospital. As I’m on my couch with my dog I can’t help but think of the Covid patients the last few days. The ones that stick out are those who still don’t believe the virus is real. The ones who scream at you for a magic medicine and that Joe Biden is going to ruin the USA. All while gasping for breath on 100% Vapotherm. They tell you there must be another reason they are sick. They call you names and ask why you have to wear all that “stuff” because they don’t have COViD because it’s not real. Yes. This really happens. And I can’t stop thinking about it. These people really think this isn’t going to happen to them. And then they stop yelling at you when they get intubated. It’s like a ****** horror movie that never ends. There’s no credits that roll. You just go back and do it all over again. Which is what I will do for the next three nights. But tonight. It’s me and Cliff (her dog) and Oreo ice cream. And how ironic I have on my “home” hoodie. The South Dakota I love seems far away right now.

It is pretty bad here in South Dakota. So far there have been 219 deaths in November (a record of 53 on Saturday). There continues to be NO actions taken to mitigate the spread of the virus, and there is no signs that will change.

Last week the Governor was at state football in Vermillion (University of South Dakota). All State colleges have mandatory masks on campus policies, and the Governor did not wear a mask at the college. That pretty much sums up the s*** show in South Dakota.

Here's an interview with Doering. Blows my mind.

We just dealt with the near identical situation with a friend's father. He died in his home a few hours after a FaceTime call with my friend and his siblings where he insisted he'll be fine with some rest. Refused to go to the hospital, and was very insistent that it 'was no worse than the flu' and was being overblown by liberals to get Trump out if office.

I still haven't heard a reasonable response to the concept of excess deaths and the data the CDC has published. History will not be kind to many of players in this story.

She seems like a real nice lady, but that was frightening to watch. An old friend of mine, who used to play football at MSU, is a nurse in one of the Billings hospitals. I haven't spoken to him for some time and I wonder if he's going through the same thing as this lady.

MSU - 14 team National Champions (most recent 2011); 52 individual National Champions (most recent 2017).
