Tough to look at. On the day MSU is supposed to open season, the Bridgers, right by the M no less, are ablaze.

It has been terrible. The cold and wet weather they predicted can’t get here soon enough.

How does it look today? Did the winds die down?

Not as windy today but still a little breeze and warm. Tonight is supposed to have temps drop a lot and snow above 6000 feet. Super smoky in town today. It’s been surreal to watch it from our house on the west end of town, especially at night when you can see the flare ups.

So how is the progress of the fire? We are pretty smoky here. Not sure if the smoke is from the east or west. Our winds have just come up, so far 26mph gusts on my weather station. Praying for moderation!!!

Been raining in Helena for a couple hours. Supposed to rain in Bozeman starting at noon and then pick up in the afternoon. Looks like widespread rain throughout the area.

Does look like light rain has hit the Bridgers according to precipitation radars. light rain in missoula right now. Going to get warm and windy again in a few days, lets hope it just pounds Bozeman area and soon! :(

What's the latest? I saw Attebury tweeted it was raining there this afternoon, but it looks like it let up. Supposed to start again soon according to my app.

It's been raining decently in Bozeman the past few hours and temps are in the 40s right now. Saw a picture earlier that there was some snow up in the Bridgers so that's a bonus. Haven't heard a final count yet, but there have been several structures including homes lost. Hopefully the crews working up there stay safe and are able to make a lot of headway today and tomorrow.

On my Weather Underground app I found a reporting station in Manley Meadows and it showed 0.04 in of precip. Not much but the condition were good for the fire... Guessing that is in the vicintity of the fire.

Hopefully not a gender reveal party. I hope people realize that revealing the sex of their baby before it's born just isn't that big of a deal. We already do enough B.S. that isn't as big a deal as we make it out to be, so no need for another.

I believe the forest service use to shut down the national forests when the fire hazard got to high back in the 70’s.

Is that a pipe dream?? If they did why don’t they now??
