If Twitter is fact checking Trump, shouldn’t they be doing the same to Cohen? In just this tweet above he references the first coronavirus case 6 months ago?

Ya I'm not sure I trust the people working at Twitter to be the arbiters of truth. The things I've seen censored vs. controversial things that weren't censored certainly have a left leaning slant to them, although admittedly it's been a small sample size from my personal experiences.

November 17, December, January, February, March, April, May 29. Yep, Cohen's lying. The first case was six months, 12 days ago.

Nov 17??? The WHO says that it was December before discovered in China. First US case was one international traveler in Washington in mid January.

https://www.who.int/docs/default-source ... 0did%20not.

During the early stages, the WHO, China and Democratic leaders said there is nothing to be concerned about. When Trump ramped up warnings, Democratic leaders like Cuomo and Pelosi said don’t change your daily activities. They made stupid comments like go to Chinatown as they are open for business!! Take a look at some of Cohen’s other postings. It is littered with misleading information, half truths, lies or opinions presented as fact.

I saw this morning that Trump was flagged by Twitter for inciting potential violence when he threatened action against looters in MN. Yet Kapernick and CardiB can basically tweet “go riot” and Twitter doesn’t say a word??

Looks like Cohen was right if the date's December. Over five months is almost six months.

https://www.livescience.com/first-case- ... found.html
That's more than a month earlier than doctors noted cases in Wuhan, China, which is in Hubei province, at the end of December 2019. At the time, authorities suspected the virus stemmed from A 55-year-old individual from Hubei province in China may have been the first person to have contracted COVID-19, the disease caused by the new coronavirus spreading across the globe. That case dates back to Nov. 17, 2019, according to the South Morning China Post.

something sold at a wet market in the city. However, it's now clear that early in what is now a pandemic, some infected people had no connection to the market. That included one of the earliest cases from Dec. 1, 2019 in an individual who had no link to that seafood market, researchers reported Jan. 20 in the journal The Lancet.

Scientists now suspect this coronavirus, SARS-CoV-2, originated in a bat and somehow hopped to another animal, possibly the pangolin, which then passed it on to humans. The disease is now spreading between people without any animal intermediary.

They found that following the Nov. 17 case, about one to five new cases were reported every day and by Dec. 15, the total infections reached 27. Daily cases seem to have increased after that, with the case count reaching 60 by Dec. 20, the SCMP reported.

On Dec. 27, Dr. Zhang Jixian, head of the respiratory department at Hubei Provincial Hospital, reported to health officials in China that a novel coronavirus was causing the disease; by that day, it had infected more than 180 individuals. (Doctors may not have been aware of all of those cases at the time, but only identified those cases after going back over the records, the Morning Post reported.)

Even with this Nov. 17 case identified, doctors can't be certain the individual is "patient zero," or the very first individual to have been infected with SARS-CoV-2, and there's a chance even earlier cases will be found, the SCMP reported.

Exactly. Twitter picks and chooses who to flag or censor, seemingly based on whether or not they agree with their politics.

Trumps tweet that was tagged with a disclaimer was a pretty easy one to debunk. it doesn't matter if you are left or right. The sad part is people believing what he tweeted. Just in time for the election, bringing up the false allegations of voter fraud. Remember the bus loads of voters claim? "obamagate"(not what the tweet was about) is the new WMD buzzword.

Voter fraud does happen. In fact there was a postal service worker busted for it just a few days ago, I'll see if I can find that article again.

The postal worker changed some peoples' primary ballot applications from Democrat to Republican. Real cases of voter fraud are (1) very rare, and (2) perpetrated by people trying to fraudulently help both political parties.

Its just 1 example, not the only one. Yes I agree its probably rare, but it does happen.

Would you agree that mail-in ballots are at least potentially more susceptible to potential fraud, than in-person voting? Forget for a moment what Trump thinks, what does your common sense tell you?

Common sense tells me that in-person voter fraud is more likely to involve an individual vote, while mail-in fraud is more likely to involve a larger number of ballots. So yes, I'd say that mail-in ballots are potentially more susceptible to voter fraud than in-person voting.

However, I don't think this is a legitimate reason to eliminate mail-in voting and I think the positives of giving citizens multiple ways to vote far outweigh the negatives. Nor do I believe for one second that mail-in voting helps one political party over the other, or that the result of a national election will be changed by having that option available to voters. The state and local governments that are overseeing elections need to put systems in place to detect irregularities or potential cases of fraud and they should be dealt with harshly.

The Heritage Foundation has a voter fraud map. They say there have 1,285 cases of proven voter fraud in all elections in the USA in the last four years. The No. Carolina congressional race GOP win in 2018 was overturned due to voter fraud. So it does exist and it can sway an election. A 2002-2005 study of 197 million federal ballots cast showed that only .00000013% of the time is there a legitimate voter fraud case.

No they aren't. We've voted by mail in ballot for years. Where I live(a mostly conservative area), mail in ballots are the norm.

That database has some interesting information, but it goes back as far as the 1980s and is definitely not just counting up fraud cases from the last four years. Voter fraud can sway an election, but it's crucial that we're able to detect fraud attempts, like happened in North Carolina, and rectify any issues that exist to ensure a fair election. I'm far more concerned about faulty, insecure, outdated, and/or poorly designed voting equipment and technology (remember hanging chads and butterfly ballots, anyone?) affecting the result of an election than I am about voter fraud affecting one, especially on the national level.
