Fox vs Gianforte.

Post by wbtfg » Sat Apr 11, 2020 10:55 am

I just saw a Rawstory article saying the Tim Fox campaign is accusing Greg Gianforte of insider trading and profiting off the Covid 19 pandemic. Thoughts?

Here’s the blog post the rawstory article is referencing.

I don’t think he is, because I don’t think he believes in using medicine.

No one proved those false. But that was democrat vs republican. This is republican vs republican.

Are you suggesting Tim Fox (current republican attorney general) campaign is lying?

My guess is that many, many congressmen and women sold stock in January and February. On both sides of the aisle.

Elizabeth Warren has a video that says either 28 Democrats or 28% of all Democrats in either the house or senate or both are making stock deals based on what they find out in congressional meetings.

And unless I missed it nothing from the media... Can't believe she would be quiet about this.

The only Senators that obviously sold stock (and have had no repercussions for illegal activity) after receiving government intelligence information about the economic impact of COVID-19 were these two GOP senators.

She isn't quiet about it. Aside from the video she just put out, which also referenced a lot of republicans, she's been one of the leaders in wanting to reform Wall Street. She's not being partisan about it.

Feinstein was part of that I thought.

And hopefully time will not save anyone's bacon if they did try to pull a fast one. There needs to be repercussions...

Of course there won't be any repercussions, too many of them are doing it. Warren's idea, search the video, is a good way to resolve it.

I looked at her videos, couldn't find anything on this. Do you have a synopsis?

Now sorry for caring about Cat/griz too much. I've been properly chastised by the coach of the other team. :-^

Yeah, I couldn't find it either. Saw it on twitter, but apparently not on her feed, because I don't see it there now. Anyway, she just pointed out the recent, basically, insider trading that some in congress have done and said something about not allowing them to own individual stocks and only be able to trade through mutual funds. She made a point of saying that many democrats are guilty of this, too.

I'm not a fan of much of what Elizabeth Warren says, but this is one area in which I agree with her 100%. Congressmen are there to serve the people, not to get rich(er) from the information they receive before the general public has access to it.
