Post by Rich K » Fri Oct 04, 2019 10:42 am

For such a poor country they sure contributed a lot of hryvnias to the Clinton Foundation.

Who would have thunk it?

I'm happy to see a mainstream (ie, left biased) media source calling out Schiff for lying about not speaking to the"whistle blower". They sure didn't seem to care when he lied about the Russia evidence a few weeks before the Mueller Report came out.

4 Pinocchios for Schiff:

   WBTFG deleted his post about this, I had reply written out and got "this post does not exist"
He basically asked why this is important
anyway here is my reply

Because the "Intelligence Community Whistleblower Protection Act" (1998) specifies that he must first contact the ICIG, they cannot go to Congress without first going through the ICIG and the DNI since it may contain classified information and that information must be handled appropriately. By going to the House Intelligence Committee staff first he broke the law and nullified protections provided by ICWPA.

It also infers that there may have been collusion between Schiff's staff and the "whistleblower" on how and what to report, that means that Schiff and his staff are material witnesses and possible conspirators. He cannot conduct an investigation if he is a material witness in that same investigation.
If the complainant chooses to report directly to Congress, he/she must first
provide a statement to the head of the intelligence element via the element’s IG
providing notice of his/her intent to contact the congressional intelligence
committees directly. Moreover, the complainant must follow the head of the
intelligence element’s guidance on security and the protection of classified
material.
https://fas.org/sgp/crs/intel/R45345.pdf

The ICIG testified before congress yesterday that the 'whistleblower" DID NOT inform him that he was contacting congress with this information. The DNI has not testified to this subject yet, but has stated that he learned of the information from the ICIG. It is important that the report of the contact with the whistleblower comes from Schiff's own staff and is reported to be BEFORE the complaint was filed.

Yes it's the order of events and the process, but I'm more disturbed by the fact that a sitting congressman has outright lied on multiple occasions in order to advance his party's agenda. I'm sure wbtfg feels the same.

I like how this "FactCheck" claims that the rule hasnt changes, but admits that the form has been recently changed, in exactly the way that JJ claimed it was changed. Also they don't provide any links to source documents, the ICWPA law.
I'm gonna file this "FactCheck" website along with Snopes

Just as relevant as the above posted link
https://capitalresearch.org/article/dis ... -checkers/

See, you can find a website that will agree with anything you want.

What is the lie, Trump has maintained from the beginning that he is trying to root out corruption in our Government. All of the sourced evidence and testimony supports that is in fact what he is trying to do.

I agree. I'm a conservative but not a Trump lover (but I do think he gets a raw deal in most media). I'm tired of the hypocrisy in politics, on both sides. I'm tired of the double standard of the mainstream media.
I don't like it when conservatives excuse Trump's big mouth and immaturity. I also don't like it when democrats act like it's no big deal when Schiff lies to everyone on multiple occasions. The hypocrisy is sickening on both sides, but neither side thinks their side is as bad as the other. And neither side sees it, it seems.
I'm just sick of it all! I'm a beaten man, hokie.

A list of nations 45 has been actively fighting corruption in would be helpful.
