A new group at the U of Chicago to promote men's issues.

What say you? Is it necessary? Is it redundant?

As liberal as I can sometimes be, I don't see why things like this are an issue. Statistically, as a white male, I have the least support of any group. You can have race based minority groups, sex based empowerment groups, or any other group you want. But there are no scholarship programs, affirmative action quotas, or the like for white males. Why can't a student club exist? Can you imagine the backlash if someone tried to launch a White Entertainment Network to rival BET?

I don't have a problem with anybody starting any group ... go for it.

I do find it somewhere between "absurd" and "hilarious" to hear white males complain about being victims in any way in our society. Psst ... hey guys ... we still own about 95% of everything in this country ... "we're" still doing okay.
