=D^ Well done!

Add another point for the good guys in the Brawl of the Wild series as well!

Good showing by the Men as well.

And yet another point for the good guys in the Brawl of the Wild series.

This seems like a big time flip. He appeared to be 100% committed to NDSU for track. So, this surprises me.

This is fantastic! The men AND the women succeeded in the quest to see who gets the honor of finishing immediately behind NAU in T&F. Very well done indeed. Also nice to bury the gris. Again.

As far as I can tell, Drake Schneider has the #2 time in the NCAA in the 400m hurdles. Broke the conference record, which he had set prior, by a second. That’s incredible.

Does anyone know what the status was of MSU Men's hurdler Derrick Olsen in the Big Sky Conference meet as the results show he didn't place in the 110 Meter Hurdles?

False start. DQ.

I saw the result of the prelims Friday evening and had to go check the ESPN+ feed which had it archived. It was a very odd false start. He got in the blocks after a normal/proper warmup. Everyone raised in unison as the starter said "Seehh-eetttt"....(they say it as a drawn out, almost 2-sylable word). As soon as there was a fraction of silence after the "t"....Derrick blasted out.

Normally you will get a 1.0 to 2.0 second pause from end of "Set" to gun.

It looked like he just had a mental "mess-up". He wasn't trying to time the gun. As soon as the he heard a gap after "Set"....his body just exploded.

I feel really bad for him. For some reason the Bobcats withdrew their 4x100 team from the finals, so he didn't get a chance to exorcise the demons. Just a sucky weekend for the kid.

The 110 HH finals would have been great. An NAU kid took first and set a new Big Sky meet record. Derrick would have been right there with him.

The meet was fun to watch on ESPN+ (the following days). I could fast forward through many of the other competitors to focus on the Bobcats. There was about 6 hours worth of video on Friday and 7 hours on Saturday. FF-ing I could get through in about 90 min.

Bobcat Men and Women did great. The video feed didn't have a running team total, so I couldn't tell how were doing. I thought we were in 2nd in each, I couldn't tell how far back we were...until the awards ceremony. Great effort by both our teams.

Side note: The wind looked relentless. It had to be sustained 20-30. Temp looked to be in 50's?? People were bundled up. Not a recruitment video weekend for Pocatello, ID....if there are any???

Some of the marks (100, 110HH, 200, LJ, TJ) were probably wind-aided.

The full lap events (Drake's 400 Intermediate Hurdle record) will stand.
