Interesting game tonight for the women at U. of Portland, who like MSU is coming off a 30 win season. The Pilots lost to Oregon State in the WCC Championship game last year but won road games against Stanford and Seton Hall in the WNIT before losing to Villanova. I'll set the over/under on forced turnovers at 25.5, Go Cats!

This will be a tough one and a good test. Portland is long, with 6'2" guards and 6'4" and 6'5" in the middle. On defense they're a mirror image of the cats, full court and in your face.

Ho hum, the Bobcats have already forced 3 turnovers in the first minute and a half.

There will definitely be an away game where we get an inexperienced ref who anticipates fouls and hits the Bobcats with a bunch of whistles. That’s why it’s important for them to establish themselves early as a tough defensive team, so once conference play starts, refs understand their style and call the game fairly.

Seeing a bit of this tonight. We will need a deeper bench if we are going to be called for 10 fouls in a quarter.

Chirrick just had 3 steals in 21 seconds.

Trying to watch this game, ladies volleyball against the gris, and the Harvard football game all at once. The Cats may see Harvard in the playoffs.

Some bad inbounding on the full court press, but every time Portland makes a run, the Cats respond.

The defense this year will be really, REALLY good.

I will be shocked if chirrick is not the big sky mvp

I think they just ran out of commercials.

Frigin getting close now. Got to inbound better on the press.

Fortunately, the defense is forcing Portland to burn nearly the entire shot clock, so they’re running out of time.

We gotta take a little bit of bad with a lot of good with this team. Hopefully the bad stretches will smooth out as the season goes on. I love the energy even this late in the game everyone is hustling like crazy. This is a great win!

Well, at least the lady basketball team will win tonight.

Incredible win, the Bobcats have 10 healthy players and 4 are true freshmen.

Had the privilege of watching in person tonight. Two things stood out to me. The defense is ferocious and the freshmen are fearless. This is a very good team.
