Time to get the party started....tough game ahead...Griz are playing their best basketball of the year...but we're at home and the Cats seem to have a bit of a spark in them. Hoping for an upset in a sold out Brick.

On the men's side the Cats have been tough to beat at home. 6-1 in conference play and the one loss was by 1 in a game they led by 20 in the second half and let get away. The Griz will be favored but from watching the two teams play I don't think the talent gap between them is nearly as big as the standings would indicate. The Griz have won a lot of those close road games that MSU hasn't been able to finish well in.
The women's game should be fun, MSU will of course be heavily favored and the Griz have struggled lately after a few good results right after their coaching change. I expect a fairly comfortable win for the Bobcats.

This past weekend was as good as an example of the above statement. @MSU01 hits it on the head! Weber played the Grizz closer than I had thought they would as did ISU. The weapons the Cats possess get sharpened with each week that passes. You can see it by the way they've got the lead and held the lead even in the lulls.
I just got done listening to Bobcat Insider w/ Keaton and Salle and I got chills just thinking about the energy that the Brick is going to contain this weekend! I hope it's as electric as anticipated.

Should be a helluva game at the Brick Saturday night. We’ve got a few things to shore up from our first game in Missoula, but this is a game we absolutely can win.

I noticed the difference between offensive and defensive scoring is about the same. Most categories are really close. They hit a higher percentage of their shots and score afew more points, however I think we hit more 3's. So maybe 3 point shooting is the determining factor along with the home court.

2-1 is sort of big for a 1.5-point favorite. That the ‘Cats are a favorite at all is considerably better than it looked like a month ago. Certain players have really started to show out, just not consistently. If McMahon, Mullins etc. can all catch fire at once they might have something. The case of the missing “Goratzke” is still puzzling, unless he’s trying to play through some injuries. Go, ‘Cats, smoke the gris.

To me it's preposterous that MSU is the favorite. I just don't have a lot of trust in this team. I really, really hope they prove me wrong. But for the most part, DeCuire has owned us. I still can't explain what happened in Boise last year-that was really out of nowhere.
