WBB @ PSU

Hey Portland area Bobcats....hope you'll consider coming to the game today. PSU Viking Pavilion is a great venue to watch the game and the tickets are cheap! I'll be there with a contingent of fans to cheer on the Cats to their 20th victory! Go Cats!!

On paper MSU shouldn't have much trouble with this game, but we shall see! Going 4-0 on their long road trip would be huge moving forward with the NAU rematch coming up on Thursday. I'll set the over/under on PSU turnovers at 28.5, Go Cats!

Portland State has been a bit of a nemesis. But I think we have the nemesis on our side this time.

The women play at 3 pm and the men at 6 pm. Watch the women on TV then head for the Brick. Let's go 2-0 today.

Ha! You are correct, the nemesis goes by the name of Esmeralda Morales. I wonder if she has one of those 28 point games again, but this time against her former team, that would be fun to watch! ESPN+ today at 3:00pm Mountain time. =D^

I believe the men's game will also air on SWX as well as ESPN+. 2-0 lets go!

We’ve got three Washington girls on the team in Morales, Philip, and Harris so hopefully they have family coming. If you listened to Cat Chat on Tuesday this week Addison Harris is from Camas Washington right across the River from Portland so she has a crew coming and she said her high school team may come and watch, which would be neat. And if you see a lady with red hair that looks like a “spitting image” of Addy sitting in the stands…well that would be Addison’s mom! Tell her hi from all of Bobcat Nation.

Red-hot start by the Lady Cats. 16-4 at first TV timeout. 4-5 from 3.

Edit:
Must’ve changed a 3 to a 2 at the break (now 3-4 from 3). 15-4 at break.

Esme Morales sure seems comfortable shooting in this arena for some reason!

20-12 Cats after 1. PSU is doing a pretty good job so far of breaking the press. Guessing Binford will unleash Chirrick here to wreak her usual havoc in the second quarter.

There you go, 2 steals for Chirrick in 18 seconds.

Portland State came to play. Binford has to call a timeout only up 5 right now.

Cats have gone cold this quarter but they're still extending the lead because PSU just can't score against the defense consistently.

Since Binford's timeout when we were up 5 Portland State hasn't scored. Bobcats now up 18 at the half with a lot of points coming from the free throw line. Our length is a real problem for the Vikings.

Looking at the wide shot of the arena I wouldn't be surprised if there are more Bobcat fans there than Viking fans.

I always have to comment on PSU home games-their arena is absolutely gorgeous. If only they had fans.

Our defense is smothering and demoralizing.

Having Chirrick in there against their subs is really not fair.
Hannah Robbins is a really good player. When you've got Robbins and Izzy Bunyon buried deep on your bench you're pretty darn good.
