Starting out cold, 0-6 from 3-pt. Morales keeping pace with Eastern, has 10 pts.

How many basketball players, men or women, have steals be a component of a double-double? Chirrick is either one steal short or has the d-d.

The Cats making only 2 of 18 from 3 is the only reason EWU is close in this one. 57-54 with 51 seconds left, Cat’s ball.

WOW, going to have to watch the replay of that one tomorrow! And the 4th quarter will be a lot less stressful knowing what the ultimate outcome was. Go Cats!

But created 32 and Chirrick with a new Bobcat record 11 steels. Wasn’t pretty though.

Defense definitely won the game. Ladies have grit.

It may have been ugly but the Bobcats were on the short end of the scheduling system for this one. They played Thursday and Saturday and then had to travel, whereas EWU did not play a Thursday game and then had a short trip to Idaho for their Saturday game.
Taylee came up 3 steals short of the NCAA record for one game.

She’s gonna own that record when it’s all said and done. Absolutely amazing to watch.

I think the reason on the scheduling maybe in advance for Cat/Griz, but I could easily be wrong. All 4 MT based teams played tonight. Not sure if they do that for any other rivalries in the conference, and haven’t bothered to look at any other schedules to see.
I do agree they just looked off. They play with such a high pace, that it’s definitely possible the two day turnaround had an effect. But that is good experience, as post-season is the same way. Coach Bin said in her post game interview the they needed a game like this.

She had a great defensive game. Made some freshman mistakes with turnovers at the end but they don't win without her intensity in the 3rd.
