WBB vs Cal Poly

The women's team plays its annual School Day game at 11:00 this morning against Cal Poly. It's tough to judge Cal Poly as their two games so far were a lopsided win against D-II UC Merced and a lopsided loss against #3 USC, but the ESPN predictor gives MSU a 89.5% chance of winning. Hopefully the Bobcats can continue their strong start and collect a few more home wins before spending pretty much the entire month of December on the road.

Watching here at lunch for a while. Morales is just a tremendous basketball player. Could be a league MVP candidate for sure. I really her and Dylan Philip paired up at the starting guard spots. Philip also showing a really good all-around game.
Cats ahead comfortably 61-45 in the 4th quarter.

Cal Poly with a little flurry of threes to close the gap to 13. Then a nice give and go from Philip to Dykstra. Morales is a 90% free throw shooter, but had one go in and out-Harris got the rebound and put it in. When your 90% free throw shooter misses but you get the putback anyway-that's having things go your way. Lead balloons to 20 points.

Bobcats win 75-57. Got the big lead in the 2nd quarter and played even in the second half. Good win against a Big Sky level team.

Wow -this team is so deep. I cannot believe there are two more posts to add (Lexi & Taylor).
Morales is incredible to watch - this season is going to be fantastic.
Go Cats

Nice win, 26 turnovers forced is going to win a LOT of games. They could have won by 40 with better shooting from the outside. Cal Poly is a pretty decent team, they had 17 wins last year and played in the Women's NIT.

If you play one second in any game, you can't redshirt (Minus injury of course)... No player will Redshirt this year (minus Injury)

That is crazy considering youcan play 4 FB games plus post season and not lise a year. That is 1/3 of the season.

25% from 3 shooting 30 or more a game won't win against good teams if you not getting 15 steals and layups off them.

First half was great. Second half, I have to give credit to Cal Poly for playing tough and actually winning the half. The Bobcats play pedal to the metal full stop every play. So I thought Cal Poly would get gassed but they hung in there. Our shooting was off from the three, but so many were in and out.

This is a really fun team to watch. On both ends of the court.

Yeah this team is fun to watch!

Vintage Binford scrappy defense played by multiple players all the time!
High level passing by multiple players, led by Morales! I personally think she puts her hair up for games so she can see better from that eye she obviously has in the back of her head.
Playing so well as a team this early and it will only get better!
Talent all the way down the bench. The drop from top to bottom is as small as you'll find anywhere, and those already physical and talented freshmen will improve so much through the season.
Speaking of talent on the bench, there are 2 talented veterans who haven't even set foot on the court yet.

So brace yourself BSC your dreams are about to get wrecked by a team of 15 awesome Bobcat women basketball players.

Cal Poly played in Missoula Thursday night and blew out the Griz. Final score was 65-55 but that was closer than the margin for most of the game.
