WBB vs Chadron State

I was afraid maybe Danny Woodhead had a daughter on this team, but doesn't look like it. Chardon has North Dakota's former coach. It's a much bigger blowout than the Carroll game, but Carroll's pretty good I think. Bobcats up 80-23 early in the 4th quarter.

The cost of an ESPN+ subscription will be very well worth it for the next five months to watch this team play! Talent all the way up and down the roster and arguably their best player isn't even out there yet. For what it's worth for comparison's sake (probably not much), Chadron played Wyoming on Friday and lost 78-39.

92-28 Final. Troy on Thursday. Same colors as Chadron for whatever that's worth.

I think the biggest challenge facing Coach Binford this season will be how she subs in really tough, close games. I've only seen two games in person at this point but it appears to me that we have A LOT of talent and depth on this team. When it comes down to crunch time in conference play into the third and fourth quarters, it will be interesting to see who Coach Bin puts on the floor.

I have a feeling that the Troy game will be a tough test. Of course, that's a heck of a trip for Troy. I assume they will take a short flight over to Atlanta and then board the nonstop 4 hour flight to BZN.

Then three days later Troy plays at Alabama which is ranked in the top 25.

Wow, Chadron State had 48 turnovers last night. I know it's a lower division opponent but I don't recall seeing a number anywhere near that high before. They had more turnovers than attempted shots (36)! The MSU team has a ton of length and athleticism out there most of the time which is going to be an issue for a lot of their opponents that can't match it.

Troy looks competent to say the least. If it’s not a decent D-1 matchup I’ll be surprised.

Wyoming defeated Chadron St. The Bobcats ran them through a blender. I was thinking they were an NAIA team, then discovered they are NCAA D-2. I don’t feel so badly now. They have an experienced coach (who got the boot at UND) and one very good player. They were terribly undersized — I doubt we’ll see anyone smaller. I do not believe Wyoming could have done what we did, especially with their bench to get over half the points. Travis Brewster’s face said it all. He went from let’s win this, to come on play ball, to shock, to (hysterical) laughter. The ‘Cats players played as you’d expect, for the most part. It looks like Addison Harris has come to play. The whole team is athletic and speedy — wait until they learn to play Binford Ball with each other.

It’s gonna be a fun season! Will anyone be in Las Vegas for the Thanksgiving Classic? We’re going to try.

Yep! it was basically a layup drill for the Cats.

I feel a little bad for PSU, but NAU stole a good one from us.

I think Portland St. had a pretty big transfer exit, probably enough that Morales wondered who’d be there. Viking leaving a burning ship. The defection from MSU was sort of the opposite of that.

I think Morales wanted to play at a school where she had an opportunity to win a Big Sky Conference Championship. I'm glad she chose us and that Binford had room for her. She's an asset!

Morales won something like 8 Big Sky games in her 3 years at PSU. Hard to blame her for wanting a little success.

What year was it that PSU knocked the Cats out of the tourney? Am I thinking about that right?

2023. Darian White and Kola Bear's last game as Bobcats. Morales could not miss in that game. So glad we get her on our side.
