R.I.P. Bill Salonen
Sad to learn that Bobcat great Bill Salonen, who was a cousin of my Dad, has passed away. Bill was a tremendous athlete for the Bobcats. He received many awards including, leading the team in scoring his last two seasons, and receiving the MVP award, his last year. Bill, you will be missed.

He's an all-time great but he lived a long, full life. Had two sons that played for the other guys and of course Brian played in the NFL. Really a truly great family...what an awesome legacy for Mr. Salonen. Hope all who knew him remember him well.

I sure was bummed when Brian and Brad ended up playing for the team over the mountain. It has been so long ago, that I canโt really remember, but I believe when Brian entered college, Bill was the head of a specific organization at MSU. I was sure the boys were going to play for the Cats.kennethnoisewater wrote: โFri Aug 16, 2024 10:12 amHe's an all-time great but he lived a long, full life.
