Very exciting. These types of opportunities for a Big Sky Conference team don't come around very often. I can't wait to see how the team performs on CBS national TV on Friday night.

Game time is 9:40 PM local time, 7:40 Montana time according to the ESPN app.
This is good news as we should have time to get back to the house to watch the Cats basketball game after attending Bobcats At The Ballpark in Scottsdale.

@Mrs TrackCat we will be there too.

This timing is best case scenario for those of us attending the game!

See you Friday

I was reading Coach Sprinkle's quotes about going to Greensboro today and he said they have been there before for a tournament. That reminded me that what happened at that tournament was...

I like our odds!!! In 1995, Weber was the 14 seed when they took down Michigan State. They did it again in 1999 as the 14 seed with a win over North Carolina. The 14 seed has been somewhat kind to the Big Sky. Let's Go Cats!!!

Another interesting stat about the Bobcats - we are 5th nationally in opponent assist %. Opponents only score 38.5% of the time via assists.

Arceneaux was the real deal. Hard to believe he never played in the NBA...

Eastern just beat Washington State in Pullman in the first round of the NIT. They were 10 point underdogs. The Big Sky wasn't as bad as some people were claiming this year. WSU was a solid Pac 12 team that had some nice wins (@ Arizona, ASU, Oregon).

EWU will be a beast again next year, as they return almost their entire roster. Those games vs. EWU next year should be epic.

He was. I watched that entire game as it happened, and he was the best player on the floor, no question. I made plans the next year to go to Missoula and see him in the big sky tournament, but they got beat in the first round before we even got there. The year Ross Land NAU beat Northridge in the final.

Those are all pac teams. Given the history of that conference's officiating, I personally don't consider them nice wins. Damn near as bad as the MWC and Big Sky. Just not as blatant.

Not sure if anyone caught it but Kansas St was called out on sportscenter as the #3 seed that won't make it out of the second round based on analytics. they're 7-1 picking these since 2012, would have been 8-0 if Arkansas didn't squeeze out a 2 point win a few years back. I'm starting to feel like this game is very winnable for the Cats, which would be HUGE for the basketball program and the University.

Good win for EWU. Washington State played without their rim protecting big man and that helped.

Can't help but believe that Steele Venters gets poached by a bigger school.

Watching Battles dunk video on other thread. We were within 9 of Arizona with 10 minutes left in game. Not saying we will win but hopeful it is respectable for full game. KSU does have 2 3rd team all americans.

I'm wondering when is the last time Montana State was featured on CBS National TV in prime time?? What great exposure coming after getting ESPN Game Day on campus for our football. These are great times for Montana State. Come on guys, make us proud!

I don't know any of these basketball guys but here's this:
Rocco Miller (Guest): “Good matchup for Montana State, I like that. Bobcats have three potential pros. Probably one NBA guy and two guys overseas. Very talented team.
I don’t know if I’m going to all the way pick it but I really think there are a couple stories to be told about Montana State at the 14-line. Battle and Belo are really special. They played like crap last year in the tournament. Played Texas Tech and Tech put that defense on them and got destroyed, lost by 40-plus. I know they’ll be much hungrier this year to have a better showing. And Kansas State, they’ve had a special year but they have some games where they do look pretty beatable. I just think Montana State’s going to be up for the fight in that matchup. If any 3-14 is going to happen, I could see that one happening.”
