WBB at NAU
Big game this evening to maintain 1st place and avenge that tough 80 – 85 loss at home a month ago. I really like how that #1, Regan Schenck, plays for the Jacks. Cats will need to stop her penetrations and dish offs.

Cats a little sloppy and it doesn't take much to get behind NAU.
Can't make up my mind as to which is better - 55-21 or 48-14.

End of 1 and it's NAU 25-Cats 15.

On pace to give up 100 again. Way too many turnovers. Down 25-15 after 1.

Down 47-28 at halftime. Just awful in every possible way. Really just didn't show up tonight. At least the men start in 15 minutes

Cats down 19 at the half. Gonna take a heck of a second half.

Too many turnovers and throwing shots up rather than taking a good shot.

Re: WBB at NAU
Bobcats on defense look a step slow both mentally and physically. On offense. Look like most games, except NAU isn't like "most" teams. Gonna be a long game unless they can slow it down and be a little more selective on their shots inside. Trying to catch up in bunches rather than one possession at a time.

Worst game I've seen them play in many years. Not good in any aspect.

Simply awful performance. Might as well put Olson, Hein, Dykstra, Philip with Deden. Get Lamardo out.

Re: WBB at NAU
I watched the first half and then switched over to the men's game when it started. During time outs I peeked in on the ladies game.
For the first time in forever I won't be rewatching a game. yuck
It looks like NAU is exacting some revenge for the beating the Cats put on them in the championship game in last year's tournament.
Lori Paine and her ladies are dangerous.

Re: WBB at NAU
This was supposed to be The Year of the Bobcat. Juniors and seniors. Three and four years of experience. Yet somehow, they seem to have taken a step back. Forcing the ball inside, even against numbers. Sub-par ball movement leading to poor looks and forced shots. A well-oiled machine without the oil.
But I wonder if tonight they weren’t still feeling the effects of the illness that apparently affected several / many of the players, combined with the elevation? I didn’t keep track all game, but when was the last time they stayed in a zone defense a lot or all of the game? Sounds like a team that had no legs, perhaps. That switching man-to-man they usually play requires a lot of effort and focus.
Go, ‘Cats. I think they’ll get it back together.

Bobcat teams-men and women, football or basketball-whatever just seem to play very bad in the State of Arizona.

I'm glad that I attended the men's game and didn't torture myself watching the women's game on TV. The men struggled enough
and were very lucky to pull it out.
I agree with the post that with our talent on the women's team there is just no excuse losing by 29 to another Big Sky team.
Hopefully we get a good bounce back game on Saturday.

Wow! That's a huge loss! I'm sure Binford is going to send a message to this team, but it might not be enough.aucat wrote: ↑Thu Feb 02, 2023 11:47 pmI'm glad that I attended the men's game and didn't torture myself watching the women's game on TV. The men struggled enough

Re: WBB at NAU
I was thinking the same thing. We need to get over the “sophomore slump” that arrived one and two years late. There are two veterans — starters — whose performance of late has been consistently underwhelming. As much as Coach Binford substitutes, altitude should not have been an issue. Jackson was one who had been ill lately, but she seemed to have had a decent game. This appears more so mental, than physical.Bobcat4Ever wrote: ↑Thu Feb 02, 2023 11:05 pmThis was supposed to be The Year of the Bobcat. Juniors and seniors. Three and four years of experience. Twenty-three turnovers!
