Beasley
I know this game is against Providence, but Beasley is going to a player to watch this season. Ladies look quick and great on defense.

Re: Beasley
Watching the game on my small phone screen it's not easy to tell the difference between Darian and Grace with how similarly they play. What a great pickup by Coach Binford.

A nod to BobcatDel for talking Beasley up since she signed last winter. She really looks the part and I was happy to see Binford having White and her on the floor together at times!

This team could be very good! Maybe better than 19-20 team. They’re deep! Really deep. They’ll be ups and downs, but should be a fun season!

Re: Beasley
Marah Dykstra will be a game changer. Mostly a perimeter player, she’s a tremendous rebounder. She led the entire Tournament of the Americas in Buenos Aires last summer in rebounding when she repped Canada on their national U-18 team. In the championship game against the USA, she more than held her own against players from the likes of UConn and Stanford. She’s cool as a cucumber, passes extremely well, rebounds like crazy and can score when called upon. She’s 6’2”, very smooth, and was interesting to watch on the big screen today. Every player on this team can play. Period.

I agree! The other point guard, Dylan Philip (Civil Eng. major) looked very good as well. Lightning quick. And Mattie Olson was no slouch either. They all look like D-1 basketball players, IMHO.

Re: Beasley
It’s even hard to tell on the big screen. I really would like her to change to a 2-digit jersey number so my old eyes can tell them apart.

Grace is a huge pick up! She brought the game to BYU when the starters were playing scared again. No moment too big for Grace! The starters had stage fright until Grace came into the game!
