Ken Moses leaving for Utah Valley
Looks like Coach Sprinkle will be on the market for a new assistant coach.

For sure. I do think Sprinkle is very connected and will find somebody good. Hopefully they can afford to live in Bozeman!

So if we can get sponsor for vehicles for coaches should help. Replace the $500-700 car payment, it goes to rent. If they are single I suspect some room together like students, if married spouse gets job and 2 income family. This is beating a dead horse. Is bozeman really more than California and many urban areas we will compete with for coaches

I think it is.
Coach Moses' move is such a lateral move that I bet it has something to do with the wage/rent ratio.

I’m glad you pointed out that “lateral” thing — I was just thinking that UVU isn’t really a step up from MSU. It sounds though like he’ll be the top assistant there? Isn’t that Dan Russell here? In that case it is a promotion in rank with most likely better pay.vike_king wrote: ↑Thu May 05, 2022 1:41 pmtetoncat wrote: ↑Wed May 04, 2022 1:44 pmSo if we can get sponsor for vehicles for coaches should help. The Average rent for a 2 Br apartment in Bozeman is $2461.
In Orem it is $1309. Big difference from my perspective.

Nothing prevents a BB supporter from providing below market rates for rental housing to retain a coach.
While registering my vehicles the assessor stated "I have had both Cat and Griz students and alums work for me and the Griz end up working under the direction of the Cats."

Re: Ken Moses leaving for Utah Valley
I had seen several requests for housing help awhile back and thought that would be kinda neat as an investment and could help occasionally. Keep in mind I had been out shopping and helping my daughter (new grad with a new job) with a down payment for a new three bedroom condo about 6 years ago in the $250,000 range. So I went out just to see what condos were going for now……two nice condos not too far from our place in northwest Bozeman were listed at $670-690,000 for 5 year old 1300-1500 ft units. Another fairly new unit within a mile of campus was $450-500,000. They were so far out of my “investing range” I quickly abandoned any last sane thought of doing something like that! Reality set in and I realize the booster needs to be a whole lot bigger than me! I suppose if I kept looking there might have been something less costly but I am out of the game! The only good thing that came of this was being able to show my daughter how well her investment has done if she wants to sell!!
