Rats. You get a unique guy (unless someone he found did really coach height) and feed him for a year and I guess it’s as much curiosity as anything, but I was eager to see him on the court and see what happened. I was a little surprised Coach Sprinkle picked him up, since he seems to want a “modern” team of 6-6 to 6-10 guys that can all run the floor, pass the ball, and rip the threes.

Agreed....I was looking forward to seeing what he could do. If he could come into the game and dominate rebounding, he could be a game changer. I wish him luck.Bobcat4Ever wrote: ↑Tue Apr 12, 2022 5:37 pmRats. Was this a case of an experiment that did not work out or was he not happy at MSU?

I think it’s positive that Danny brought the kid in and gave him a chance to earn a spot. You can’t coach a kid to 7’3”, but honestly he didn’t have the strength or agility to bang inside with the big boys, but his length in practice probably had a huge impact on Belo’s memorable season. Hopefully he’s not done with hoops and gets an opportunity at another school. I had visions of a unicorn like the kid from Gonzaga when I heard we signed Jasper. Although he has the height, the other tools haven’t developed to have an impact in the BSC. Wish him the best and hope that he continues to play hoops and meets his academic dreams.

I probably shouldn't call it a failed experiment maybe just a mismatch of capabilities...

Too bad we didn't have a connection with some place like Casper college where he could go for a season or two and than come on back.

Two things where he would fail... Yes, underground mining and submarine service...Bobcat4Ever wrote: ↑Sat Apr 30, 2022 3:25 pmI hope they don’t require underground mining courses with labs!

I believe Reginalda is an engineering major. This move makes a lot sense. SDSM has a strong engineering program. I wish Jasper all the best!!!
