MBB vs NAU

Post by BStinsMSU » Thu Jan 20, 2022 7:10 pm

Men tip off against NAU, who are led by Jalen Cone, a Virginia tech transfer guard who is the leading 3 point shooter in the conference and one of the top scorers in the conference, and their center is the second leading rebounder in the conference. Overall they’re a middle of the pack team in the conference both offensively and defensively and the cats should take care of them if they’re playing up to expectations.

Adamu not in the starting lineup, didn’t make the trip. Guessing he’s out for Portland state this weekend as well.

I’d rather have Amin Adamu playing.

If their center gets that many rebounds then they are either playing good defense or shooting bricks of their own.

21-20 8:41 left. Both teams started iffy then proceeded to trade 3 pointers for about 4 minutes straight. Cats were obviously following their scouting to let the dudes who can’t shoot shoot it and they got burned for it. Time for Sprinkle to adjust defensively

Anyone know what’s wrong with Adamu?

NAU broadcaster mentioned health and safety protocols. Don’t know if that’s factual or an educated guess.

Side note, I’ve really enjoyed listening to this guy. He might be my favorite road announcer we’ve had. Someone get him a color commentator!

He’s been the best for a long time. I always make sure to tune in when we play in flagstaff.

As per usual, I start watching and Cone goes off for like ten in a row. I swear I have some sort of curse on our team.

Might need to burn some sage or something.

Well I think it figured itself out because we are looking a lot better. Crisis adverted.

I can't believe this. We're trying to give this game away.
