CU is 12.5 point favorite as of the night before. I see this being much closer. I wouldn’t be surprised to see the cats win. CU is 6th in preseason in the pac12. Can’t wait to get the season started. We have senior leadership and quite the stable of recruiting talent. Man I am excited!

Re: Colorado
CU lost by 15 at Nebraska and beat Colorado Mines by 30 in their two exhibition games. I doubt we'll see a repeat of last year's UNLV opener but the Cats should be able to keep it competitive if they play well.

Interestingly, i saw a stat that the last 3 times we have played CU, we have beat them... true? Lets Go Cats! D up, and follow the coach up and over the buffs.

Re: Colorado
Colorado and Montana State have met seven times previously, but only three matchups have taken place in the previous 90 years. MSU won all three of those contests by tight margins with victories in Boulder on Dec. 21, 1994 (74-72) and Nov. 8, 2008 (85-82 OT), as well as a win in the Brick Breeden Fieldhouse on Dec. 29, 1998 (78-75).

Re: Colorado
I know Chauncey Billups played for Colorado one year MSU beat them. Probably '94. Billups starred for the Detroit Pistons when they beat the Lakers (Shaq, Kobe, the Glove, Mailman) in The Finals.Rich K wrote: ↑Tue Nov 09, 2021 2:08 pmColorado and Montana State have met seven times previously, but only three matchups have taken place in the previous 90 years. Add to that the football win in 2006 and I'm surprised CU would even schedule us. I guess enough water has passed under the bridge by now.TomCat88 wrote: ↑Tue Nov 09, 2021 2:11 pmI know Chauncey Billups played for Colorado one year MSU beat them. Probably '94. Re: Colorado
I remember after that 2008 win by the men's bball team with the 2006 footbal win still fresh seeing a comment somewhere from a CU fan something to the effect of "Either stop scheduling MSU or at least stick to something that we can win at like skiing." The responses were quite funny.BelgradeBobcat wrote: ↑Tue Nov 09, 2021 4:31 pmAdd to that the football win in 2006 and I'm surprised CU would even schedule us. Re: Colorado
Game underway on the Pac-12 Network. Game is going kind like our game at Washington State last year. Wazzu had one of those nights where they couldn't miss. Colorado hitting everything they throw up. Looks like a really big crowd in Boulder for an early season weeknight game.

Re: Colorado
Offense is a bit stagnant and Colorado can't miss. Lucky to only be down 7 so far really.

It's striking to me how much our team looks the part. Big, physical, and veteran. I don't know how good we'll turn out to be but we've got some legit bodies with major athleticism out there.

I was thinking the same thing. This is not a physical mismatch by any stretch.GoldstoneCat wrote: ↑Tue Nov 09, 2021 9:46 pmIt's striking to me how much our team looks the part. Raequan Battle with three and then a steal and dunk and just like that we're tied. 1:15 to go in the half.

Re: Colorado
Excellent last 5:00 or so. If we can weather the early pressure I think they'll bring we will be right there to the end.

Re: Colorado
Oh my goodness-Battle can elevate. Shoots the three over tight defense and hits and we lead by 3 at the half.
This has been fun. The announcers are heaping praise upon our team.

Re: Colorado
Just one half, but Battle may just be a superstar. Holy smokes.

What is wrong with Borja Fernandez? We look poised and well coached. New faces are talented!

Re: Colorado
Battle is instant offense, I wasn’t sure how Sprinkle was going to keep from starting him, but his spark off the bench is great with the 2nd unit.
