Request for Authorization to Renovate the Brick Breeden Fieldhouse Locker Rooms; Montana State
University
THAT
Consistent with BOR Policy 1003.7 and MCA 20-25-302 (6) (c), the Board of Regents authorizes Montana
State University to expend up to $1 million to renovate existing locker rooms in the Brick Breeden
Fieldhouse.
EXPLANATION
1. Montana State University (MSU) received substantial completion for the Bobcat Athletic Complex,
BOR Item # 184-2002-R0719, in August 2021 and moved the football operations from the Brick
Breeden Fieldhouse into the new facility.
2. Upon relocating the football operations, the existing football locker room within the Brick Breeden
Fieldhouse will be renovated into two separate locker room facilities for men’s and women’s
basketball.
3. The renovated spaces will provide improved facilities including additional lockers, improved access
and upgraded mechanical, electrical, plumbing (MEP) systems.
4. The work will be paid for using physical plant funds.
5. No new space will be created with this request.
6. No new or additional state funds will be requested for operations and maintenance of these existing
facilities, as a result of this project
