Re: ESPNU
Who comes up with this stuff? A couple of years ago, I had to purchase ESPN+ to watch the Western Illinois game and now ESPNU. I guess I'll be watching high lights on Twitter and listening on the radio then.

Re: ESPNU
ESPN has had the rights to all men’s conference championship games for a long time. Not a new thing.

Re: ESPNU
Sure, but then you have to purchase multiple channels all the time depending on where they are going to show a game. There are college basketball games on ESPN, ESPN+ ESPNU, and if you want Dodgeball, then ESPN8. Drives me nuts. Since you can call up different games on ESPN+, it would be nice if they gave us that option and broadcast the game there too.
AND Marvin Hagler died. This day sucks, so far. If the Cats win, all will be well.

Re: ESPNU
YES!
At 5:30 I got everything logged in and was watching SWAC game fine on ESPNU through the app.
At 6 tried to load our game... no luck.
Now asking me for cable provider. No luck.
By 6:15 gave up and signed up for YouTube tv free trial.
No problems

Re: ESPNU
I wasn’t questioning the history of when the networks founded each channel, thanks.

Re: ESPNU
Remember the good ol' days when we'd only get the second half on ESPN or it was tape delayed and played at about 10PM?

Re: ESPNU
The reason that ESPN streaming works for awhile and then disappears is that if you have not authenticated to a TV provider they start you on a “free trial” with a countdown timer. It runs for some 20-30 minutes and then you get kicked out.

Re: ESPNU
We're Sling subscribers, so checked on adding the sports package to get ESPNU. It was $15/mo. Discovered I was only 4 days from the end of the billing cycle. Signed up for the package. Cost? Like $4.60. Watched the game, cancelled right after!sdsyvie wrote: ↑Thu Mar 18, 2021 10:54 pmHah thanks for the reply, I did the same thing
