SUU
Well, here we are in the semi-finals! If we can get a win, we'll be in the championship game for the first time since 2009.
SUU is big - not just tall, but thick. They are an extremely athletic bunch, they attack the rim and they can run a full court press when needed. It's going to be a huge challenge to stay out of foul trouble as they love to drive to the rim, but if the game turns into any sort of shootout the Cats will also have a hard time keeping up. They've scored 81.8 points per game in their last 5 outings, with an average margin of victory of 14.4 points while holding teams to just 67.4 points per game. I do think this is the most winnable game between the top 3 (EWU, Weber (RIP), and SUU) but it's going to take a hell of an effort, and the guys have to be gassed and beat up after the dogfight with ISU.
Let's go Cats!

Re: SUU
SUU wasn’t all that impressive when we played them. Lost by 1 point both times in their gym. 2nd game we would have won had the ref not decided to call a foul on a desperation put back from about 18 feet that decided the game. I think you guys can pull it out. Which would mean if the Griz can upset the best team in the Sky imo (EWU), it would be a Cat Griz final. Or we could just end up with EWU vs SUU. Who knows. Both the Griz and Cats seem to be inconsistent teams who can beat anybody at their best.

Re: SUU
Looks like about 25 Suu fans in attendance. Not much support for the #1 team.
While registering my vehicles the assessor stated "I have had both Cat and Griz students and alums work for me and the Griz end up working under the direction of the Cats."

Re: SUU
Looks like we are packing in the lane with kirby and belo to try to stop SUUs big drive in threat. Might work great! So far he hasn't even tried to get in there.

Re: SUU
We need somebody to be hotter than usual. Gazelas airballed a wide open three...so I guess it isn't him.

Can't make up my mind as to which is better - 55-21 or 48-14.

Re: SUU
The difference that half was their multiple mini runs. They scored in bunches (and fast) several times.

Re: SUU
Patterson's minutes are down to about 5-10 per game now. I doubt it'll be himcatscat wrote: ↑Fri Mar 12, 2021 6:47 pmPatterson?BelgradeBobcat wrote: ↑Fri Mar 12, 2021 6:42 pmWe need somebody to be hotter than usual. Gazelas airballed a wide open three...so I guess it isn't him.

Better figure it out quickly. That 10-point deficit is a big mountain to climb.catscat wrote: ↑Fri Mar 12, 2021 6:47 pmPatterson?BelgradeBobcat wrote: ↑Fri Mar 12, 2021 6:42 pmWe need somebody to be hotter than usual. Gazelas airballed a wide open three...so I guess it isn't him.

Re: SUU
When Xavier was on point and Belo was being a beast we were right there. Xavier needs to balance putting it up and kicking out, too many times he got blocked in there. We can do this!
